Win Yourself a 1098!
Ducati North America (DNA) has announced their "SUPERBIKE CONCORSO" where Ducati owners will be given a chance to win a new 1098. The winner will be announced on Ducati Island at this summer's MotoGP at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

DUCATI SUPERBIKE CONCORSO - FONTANA ENTRY DEADLINE APRIL 13
From Cook Neilson's 1977 Daytona win to the recent introduction of the dramatic 1098 in 2007, Ducati Superbikes have dominated racing circuits and become style icons worldwide. The Ducati Superbike Concorso highlights the history and spirit of these motorcycles and celebrates the passion of their owners.
The Concorso is open to all 1972-2007 Ducati Superbikes and will recognize performance and history as well as beauty and craftsmanship. The contest consists of five regional rounds, of which four will coincide with AMA Superbike Championship races. The fifth round will be featured online at www.ducatiusa.com. This will culminate in six finalists and four Ducati-selected wild-cards to be chosen to compete on Ducati Island during the final AMA Superbike Championship round at Laguna Seca in September, 2007.
Eligibility:
Bikes must be Ducati Superbikes built from 1972 to 2007 with an OEM frame and Ducati motor. Models include: 750 Bevels, 900 Bevels, TT1, TT2, F1, Supermonos, 851, 888, 748, 749, 916, 996, 998, 999, 1098.
Bikes must be individually owned by the entrants. A title or bill of sale confirming ownership is required.
Entrants must be 18 or older, possess a valid motorcycle license, and be a legal resident of the United States for the duration of the Ducati Superbike Concorso.
Entries must be received by Ducati North America no later than 12:00AM Midnight PST 2 weeks prior to the opening date of the specific regional competition for which you're applying.
Regional Rounds:
Round 1: California Speedway, Fontana, CA April 27-29
Round 2: Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Monterey, CA July 20-22
Round 3: Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Lexington, OH August 3-5
Round 4: Road Atlanta, Braselton, GA August 31-September 2
Online Round:
Online round registration will begin July 1 and conclude July 30. A link will be posted on www.ducatiusa.com when online round registration officially opens.
Public voting will commence August 1 and run through August 15 on www.ducatiusa.com.
Final Round:
10 Superbike Concorso finalists will compete for a 2007 Ducati 1098 Superbike on Ducati Island during the final AMA Superbike Championship round at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Monterey, CA on September 15-16
The winners will be announced live on Ducati Island.
Grand Prize: 2007 Ducati 1098 Superbike
1st Prize Modified/Performance: Once-in-a-lifetime trip to Italy including: Ducati factory tour and VIP treatment at the Milan Motorcycle show
1st Prize Original/Restored: Once-in-a-lifetime trip to Italy including: Ducati factory tour and VIP treatment at the Milan Motorcycle show

...hmmm....lemme see...how get myself a chance to win without breaking my piggy bank to purchase a used Duc?...what if I bought an almost worthless twisted wrecked frame for $2.78 from a salvage yard ....register the serial # and call PNO (Planned Non Operational) with the DMV and call it mine...throw my name in the hat...and wait...its like playing and winning the lottery...only I'll spend $2.78 to get a $14K Duc...
