Boy have the roles reversed! Those were words used opposite against the R1 in the past. Wonder if that $4K price difference in mods would allow the R1 to destroy the Aprillia outright? I would think so, but you are saying the Aprillia's are dominating the racing series. How about local racing where they dont have the big factory $$$ involved?

Sticks_n_Stones, on the race track shootouts in Europe the Aprilia has been on top by FAR.
But yeah, add 4K worth of goodies to get the R1 suspension right and the table may be turned

i love mines no complaints. she performs well even up top. I recently kicked her into A mode and she turned into a real bitch. I took her down to maryland for a 5 hour ride. She isn't crazy comfy but I got use to it. Didn't bother me on the way back. Great street bike as it has power in various rpm's that is definitely usable. My R1 currently has 900 miles on the clock. I haven't really redlined her yet but I got her up there in the rev range. Im impressed overall..... there are minor things that i dislike about it... but all in all i like.

MCN did a great job with that video, but the Aprilia is slaughtering everything on the race track. like masszx14 said put $4k into the R1 to match the money and it'll eat that Aprilia on the road race course all day

I do not appreciate you taking my photograph away. This is a free country and not Iran. You have over stepped your boundaries and I won't stand for it. I like bikes just like you and I add value to this thread. You don't have to be straight to appreciate an R-1. Please put up my picture again or I will be forced to call Mr. Fish who may ban you from this site. I will also write a very derogatory article about you in Gay Biker if you don't reconsider. I may even demote the R-1 from the manliest bike award in my magazine. The choice is yours Mr. Steve. And may I remind you that I am in the Smack House posting my delicious pictures and not in the R-1 Zone. I believe you yourself said if "you can't take it-- get out of the Smack House"... or something like that.
