Alright, finally had a chance to wrench on the 750 for an afternoon.

Here's a few pics of the damage- r-r subframe, rear wheel, swingarm spool mount , brake caliper (the banjo bolt got knocked off and the line was dangling around) etc.

This is the content of the toolbox I take with me to the track,
well, minus the tray with screwdrivers

I'm not going to replace this swingarm yet, I'll just remove the remainder of the broken spool slot. I really don't want to cut the chain and put another master link,
I'll do that when the chain needs replacement. The Driven axle sliders will do the trick in the meantime.

The old wheel is out, the replacement one is in

The 09 gsxr1K Nissin caliper is on but it sits slightly further forward than the
600/750 oem Tokico and the Spiegler line was getting too close to the wheel.

I installed these two little brackets and bolted them where the oem rear fender mounts
on the brake side of the swingarm, just an added precaution

On the left is the Woodcraft slider that I intended to bolt to the Driven axle blocks.
This would allow me to lift the bike with the rear stand from that spot but neither the
bolts from Woodcraft nor the bolts from Driven will do the job and I'll have to order some
10 mm bolts that are the needed length

Played with the laser alignment tool just to verify that my swingarm is not bent
and the chain runs true (once the wheel is set properly in the axle slots).
Neat tool for sure

Fired the bike up and rode it around a parking lot briefly,
she's sat around for almost 5 months... too long IMHO.

That tiny 11 oz. Speedcell battery was never on a tender in the meantime,
just periodically started (maybe 4-5 times in total). Fired right up!

I also put the radiator fan back on and the bike is ready for a dyno run next week.

I'm still waiting for a few things that need to go on the bike and also need to send my
forks out for serice (and the Penske rear shock). Painting the fairings also needs to
happen soon.

I installed the HM Quickshifter today. Pretty straight forward,
other than routing the cables through the frame.

The cables on the left in the pic simply connect to the top coil- unplug the spark plugs
and plug in the quickshifter loom. This is a true stand-alone quickshifter and it doesn't
connect to anything else

Here's the shifter rod fitted with the HM sensor on the bike.

I will have to play with the sensitivity and kill time or just look on the forums and see what has worked well for others. Here's the controller that I fitted under the seat

Here's how my axle sliders act as spools for the rear stand.
I completely dremmeled off the broken spool tab on the clutch side
but will use the one on the brake side for added protection for the exhaust muffler

When I got my Brembo 19x18 brake master cylinder last summer I didn't service it before putting it on the bike and that was something I shouldn't have overlooked.
It will get serviced now but I have to hurry up and get the bike ready for VIR in a couple of weeks
and I just couldn't resist buying one of these for the 750:

This is the Brembo rcs19 and it allows the rider to change brake lever ratios from 19x20 (for power) to 19x18 (for feel) with a simple turn of the screw

The 19x18 after service will go on one of the other bikes in the stable.

This is somebody else who gets excited about Brembo brakes

Louis, I don't race this bike but I'm after a good race prep/ build (on stock motor).
Like most of us, I enjoy something to wrench on and tinker with.
I've actually never ridden it on the street, even when I first bought it- never registered it as I wanted to build it into a track- only machine.

I have a lot of parts coming in and she'll be ready hopefully in about two weeks.
My plans are to do 4 (maybe 5) track days by the end of the month
starting with VIR on 4/18 and 4/19.

That side wall on the rear tire looked a little "Raced" on to me :-)

Looking good, looks like you are having BIG fun. I have been following your upgrades for some time now. Good job Bro. Keep the pic's coming.

Lean angles at the track and throttle input really chew up the sidewalls of the rear tire.
The bike is actually ridden hard in advanced level group,
track days however are not racing and I don't have a racing license.

Best part of it is that we are constantly being begged by some of the local squids for race take offs. The tires always have plenty of rubber left on them in the middle but the sides are worn down and bubbles are pushed over the edge of the rear and there's no side grip left.
That rubber mounted on a street bike obviously turns anybody into a Starbucks parking lot sensation $50 per set and my worn out race DOT Pirellis find a new home fast!

My replacement R-R subframe is here. No exhaust hanger mounting points this time
and built with square tubing- I hope that the square tubing is slightly more rigid than the round,
more durable too

And although I was content with the carbon fiber fairing stay that I was running on this bike
I suspected that the R-R version would be lighter.
It is indeed and the cf unit will serve as a spare if/ when I crash

The Brembo rcs19 is on the bike

The Brembo 19x18 will be send out to be serviced and will probably serve me as a back up
or it will be used on one of the other bikes

I installed the Penske shock today after it was serviced at GMD

I just have to figure out a way to secure the shock bottle to the subframe,
there are a few aftermarket options but I'm still undecided

My painter emailed me a few pics of my fairings,
I will have to add the number plates and maybe put another clear coat on top
