Yep.

I'd rather have the choice to turn the stuff on or off - 10 years from now when I ride my 10R ta blow out the cobwebs, I'll have forgotten all the necessary braking and throttle skills because the bikes will have had "traction control" and ABS for so long that all we have ta do is put fuel in em.

No, just different map settings to change the power delivery.
The GSXR system and sportbike version to follow, are to help you use more of the bike's capabilities more often.
For everyone who has been to Laguna and seen the MotoGP bikes:
They have always had traction control and, if you stand at the right corner, you can hear it work. Those riders use wheelspin to steer the bike so their 'traction control' is simply a limiter to that. It is like a safety net that saves them from overdoing it (hopefully).

switching stuff on and off would be great, but when things like this finally become mainstream the lawyers usually take away that on off switch,,,, great example was the Audi 5000CD Quattro Turbo I had... what an amzing rally car... pulled like stink... switchable EVERYTHING on the fly including locking front, rear and center diffs, and ABS switchable on/off.... you dont see that anymore...

car was a absolute joy to drive on the street, even more fun when you hit gravel logging roads....

car sucked ass if anything broke... at the time brake pads were $200 a corner and had sensors embedded into each one. I sold it. Me no wanna pay $200 per brake for pads.
