(I got screwed) WTB: Crank or 1270/72 kit. New or used!
Guess what? My engine is out of my bike, and the top end is dis-assembled!
The bad part is that the deal that was in front of me is now gone due to circumstances out of my control.
Needless to say, I'm not very happy about it.
So, does anyone have, or know where I can get, a used 1270 kit?? Perhaps from someone that upgraded or something?
How about a whole engine or crank? Any of those out there??
PS. I know of an 00' 9R engine with 6000 miles on it if anyone is interested in a swap of some sort. (complete & running)

You have a couple options on new.

1270cc = $1179
http://www.zxzone.com/pistons.html
1272cc = $480 pistons + 425 bore = $905 total
1287cc = $559 pistons + 425 bore+... $42 head gasket = $1026
not used prices but the 1272 comes pretty close.

I've reused them with no problem, but I did not spray the engine.
$42 is for a copper head gasket. i think the OEM was $62.
The 1272 comes with head gasket!

Turbo, I was just wondering if it was possibly like our clutch cover gaskets where, literally, you can use it several times with no fear at all.
