97 Vmax for sale
Hi There,
I'm new to this forum, but I thought I'd see how this works.....so here goes. After having completed Sportbike West in Kelowna a few weeks ago, and after some serious bench racing and thinking, I have decided that we (the SBW participants) were riding just a teeny bit too fast for my VMax. I am looking to buy or trade into a 2001 or newer 'Busa and can't seem to afford more than two bikes (the other is a 1967 HD Sportster....also for sale). Here is the scoop on the VMax....if you were at SBW this year or in the last couple of years, you would have heard it or heard of it punishing the old dyno..
1997 model, 3 years of extended warranty remaining.
Custom Yellow paint, aftermarket turn signals and Flush mount LED brake/signal light
drag bars, custom levers, m/c's and mirrors
SPA tach/speedo
FZR 1000 UDX front end (lowers the front end by about 3")
FZR 1000 front and rear wheels with 17" Metzeler MEZ4's front and rear (110 mm wide front, 190 mm wide rear)
Braced swingarm
Modified clutch and clutch cover (clear lexan insert...you can see the clutch assembly rotate...)
R1 front calipers
UFO seat
UFO exhaust....sounds like a 5.0l Mustang, but revving at 10,000 rpm
Dyno jet stage 1
Nitrous oxide....dyno'd at 170 HP
This bike is obviously not your average VMax. It is very fast (in fact it can pull away from a GSXR 1000 when on the bottle), and handles way better than it should (tt seems to really like the tight twisty stuff...just ride it like a big MX bike....in fact I impressed not just a few sportbike riders with the bike's abilities). It has great brakes, is quite comfortable, and is awesome everywhere except above 220-230 km/h. It is a naked bike and is as aerodynamic as a brick. This is a hotrod, and for someone who wants a fast bike that gets stupid amounts of attention riding around or everytime it is standing still, it is the best thing ever. I have well over $18,000 Canadian invested, but am open to offers. I would gladly accept $14,000 Can for it. I live in Edmonton, and will deliver it within 1000 km
Thanks
Don.

I guess I should be more general.....I am looking for either a 'Busa or a ZX 12. I have been leaning toward the Busa because of the support of the aftermarket. IF a ZX 12 was to fall in my lap, I would NOT be complaining at all. I can be reached at don_s1200@hotmail.com.
thanks,
Don

I rode with this crazy mofo at SBW 2003 , it's a sweet ride that will run with the litre Gixxers and the 9R's . This is 1 sporty crewzer.
