F/S: NOS brand 2lb nitrous bottles

I have three of these for sale. NOS brand, 2 pound nitrous bottles. All with fittings, and in good/average shape. They are aged, I would say 10 years old maybe. I'm asking $75/each and that price is shipped in the US.

I have not used them. They did have some nitrous in them when I bought them, and I let out what was in it. It should be noted though, they were holding nitrous just fine with no leaks.

I have never heard of a nitrous bottle going bad. At 5 years none the less.... so I googled and found a couple threads on LS1tech where guys claim that a bottle can go bad, but nothing more then guys saying "they go bad". Every now and then I've heard of a valve needing replaced, but that's a $20 fix. But....I did some calling around to local shops to see if anyone could "re-certify" the bottles. I finally found a guy that does it, at $40/each. All he does is pressurize them and check for leaks. Honestly I'm not really wanting to spend $120 to sell these. The guy I talked to though did tell me it's pretty rare for a nitrous bottle to go bad, and the only ones he ever witnessed having problems were the bottles from the early 80s because of a particular alloy they used in casting the bottles. He said it only became a problem when people subdued the bottle to multiple heat cycles, such as when guys take a propane torch to warm the bottle up. This could lead to hairline cracks in the bottles from the early 80s. I'm sure now that I say all that, I'll get loads of guys coming in here claiming how their bottle went bad. If that's the case, I would love to hear what actually happened.

The bottles I am selling are in good/average shape. Some knicks in the paint, but otherwise no obvious signs of damage or any signs that they have been torched, dropped, etc.

I've got one bottle left. I would trade it for a set of ZX14 swingarm extensions!
