used 1287 kit (cylinder and pistons)
checking to see if theres any interest... stuff from dads bike. I bought 3 of the pistons used for spares a few yrs ago. decided to buy a new one and build a motor for dad when he had engine trouble. hes been running them for a couple seasons. the block was bored with no chamfer on the bottom for extra skirt support. I dont like how the 12 pulls the bottom of the pistons out of the bore at the bottom of the stroke. its a little tougher to put the pistons in the bore, but ive done it a couple times without the use of ring compressors. I think the added support is worth the slight hassle. these pistons are prepped for spray, and have seen it without issue. I would strongly suggest the use of cylinder studs if you plan on using more than 50 hp. or you may run into head gasket issues like we did when we went higher. if you dont plan on spraying, stock bolts are fine.
pistons show some signs of wear, but still have .0022-.0024 piston to cylinder clearance. it may not be a bad idea to rering them if you plan on running them for several seasons. if we werent going back to stock displacement they would be going back in his bike

I have not received payment yet, but its supposed to be on the way for the big bore kit. he opted out of the head and cams though
