2006 zx14 turbo for sale
Please read this ENTIRE post before contacting me.
Hi, I've been putting this off for a long time, but my wife and I will be leaving the country in about 6 months, so I'm putting up my turbo zx14 for sale. I bought this bike brand new from Hillsboro Motorsports in February of 08. It was built out of the crate the day I bought it, and I rode away from the dealership with 0.5 miles on the odometer. I am the only owner, the bike has never been down, and it has a free and clear title.
Here's a list of the mods.
Engine:
Cycle Logic Turbo kit with upgraded 20g turbo (450hp capable) and external 38mm TiAL wastegate. Lots of custom stuff done to this as well, such as a blow off valve, tig welded dump pipe, etc...
Cometic 0.070" head gasket (lowers compression to about 10.29:1)
APE adjustable cam sprockets
Adams boxed oil pan
OSR oil cooler block off plate
Muzzy's SMOG block off plates
AEM dryflow air filter
Carpenter valve springs
Gann multi-stage lock up clutch
Fuel System:
Walbro 255 lph in tank fuel pump
Bosch EV1 700cc injectors
Electronics:
Power commander V with external 3 bar gm map sensor
MPS Air shifter
Chassis:
Evil Swingarms chromoly 7-11" over with built in air tank
Trac Dynamics revalved shock and 11.0 kg spring
Buell footpegs
Brocks lowering brackets
Soupy's adjustable lowering links
EK DRZ-2 chain
Vortex 16 tooth front sprocket
New Shinko 008 tire
zx10r front fender and brackets
Misc:
Boost gauge and fuel pressure gauge on billet mounting brackets
Manual boost controller
PROS:
The bike makes FANTASTIC power. 252whp at only 6 psi of boost. You can safely run 8 pounds on pump gas and who knows how high you can run on race gas. Someone with a similar turbo kit (but smaller turbo) just made over 380whp on a STOCK motored zx14 on e85 and 16 psi of boost.
I'm the original owner, never been down, clean and clear title.
12k miles
CONS:
I've dynoed the bike and it runs great at idle and 100% throttle, but there's some sort of bug that makes the bike stumble and buck at any throttle input inbetween.
Paint is good, but there are a few imperfections
Front tire has good tread, but it's and older tire
SUMMARY:
The bike is a pussy cat off boost, and a MONSTER on boost. There is almost NO lag to speak of. On the street, you'll see full boost in between 3-4k rpm!!!
I don't have the time and or energy to devote to this bike any longer. My loss is your gain. I'm selling this at a SIGNIFICANT market reduction because it's not 100% perfect. I'm sure it's just some simple bug (a blown fuse, pinched vacuum line, etc) that's making the bike stumble and buck, but like I said, I just want to sell it at this point. I can't ride it any longer, and I want it to go to someone who knows about turbo bikes, and wants one of the fastest vehicles in the Northwest.
Might be interested in trades, but priority will be given to those with CASH. Don't offer me another project for trade, I'd like something finished and complete. I'm not hurting for money, so any low-ball offers will be ignored. I know what the bike is worth, and if it was running 100%, it would probably be worth over 12,000. The turbo kit was over $5k and the swingarm was close to $1k. Call or text me if you're serious, and we can set up a time for you to see the bike. Due to the nature of the bike, absolutely NO test rides.
$8500

You're welcome to bid up to that right now for it on eBay. I will not pull it off eBay for 7500 cash. If you send me an offer I can't refuse to Gilberjj@gmail.com, then I'll consider pulling the auction, but it's going to have to be a lot more than $7500. Goodluck with the bidding, and thanks for looking.

Just a little tip for the future, don't tell them what the reserve is set at. Always use vague statements, "Super Low Reserve", etc...
