Black 2008 R6r stock bodywork - NEW CONDITION
My friend bought this bike new, rode it home (about 50 miles), and took all of the stock bodywork off and replaced it with race bodywork. I bought the bike from him and this bodywork came with the bike as part of the deal.
No rash, No scratches, No broken tabs, LIKE NEW CONDITION.
Does not include the gas tank, the plastic gas tank cover, or the two black plastic dimpled parts that go under the gas tank. Does not include a windshield. Look in the picture of all the parts lying in the grass. If it's in the picture, it's sold as a group here.

Notice that the tail section includes the tail light with the wiring. The wiring is not cut. Just plug it into your bike.
Notice that the front turn signals are included and the wires are not cut. Just plug them into your bike. I also included a shot of the rear of the side fairing to show that they are complete.

The mirrors are one of the few parts that come with mounting bolts.

Question? Got a buddy with an 04 how hard is it to make the newer bodywork fit the 04?

I have absolutely no idea. I know the R6 was completely changed in 2006, then another minor change in 2008. These are all stock pieces, it is not race fiberglass, so it may not fit at all, even if you modify it.
Again, though, I am only speculating.
