Cliff, the Zx-14 doesn't have a shifter rod, so how does the tension version work?

Don't we need the Linear Travel type for the 14 that hooks to the lever and the sprocket cover?

I dont see the 14 listed in the rod selection guide ...

Thx

I don't know the answer to that??? Thats whats on mine. It came with the bike when I bought it. The linear type looks too long to be attached to the sprocket cover to me?? Don't know...mine has a shift rod and works good though.
One side is attached to the shift lever via a drilled hole and the other end is attached to a DJ bracket attached to the frame.

Do you have stock pegs on your 14? I think the one you have is vertical, goes up and down between the shifter lever and up to the sprocket cover bolt someplace?

the other is horizontal and goes between the peg and the shifter shaft on the shift rod. I think that type would be for aftermarket rearsets?

I have the buell peg mod, but the stock pegs were on it when I bought it. Remember...those mount placing pics from DJ are not carved in stone. Not everyone will have the unit placed like the pics.
