How to build a Digital Gear Position Indicator for a ZX-12R (ZX1200-A1, A2)
http://www.angelfire.com/wa3/r.miklos/shiftindicator/gearindicator.htm
this is where i found the info to build your own
if your not into building one let me know i can make one for you for 75.00 shipped
but its much more fun to make your own

kaw12
quote: hey thats cool, i looked at the instructions and looks fairly easy but, how long did it take?
takes about about 2 hours to assemble and solder all the parts ((check twice cut once method)) lol and another hour to take the dam bike apart run wire to front and connect wires to ECU again ((check twice cut once method))
i used an ethernet cable and an ethernet jack on the display side so i could run the wire and connect it to the display 8 wires worked well and ethernet wire for the ecu connection end hardwired to the pcb of the gear indicator and wire tapped the ecu wires 7 then ran power and ground wire off pcb to power and ground of brake running light
