The clutch was not slipping, I hadn't adjusted the preload, and threaded links back for normal riding, was still raked high in the rear for twisty mountain riding, and the tire was spinning from lack of weight transfer, when hitting the nos in 5th gear!
Shock has hydraulic remote preload.

Wow. what an overwhelming response... LOL
Ok, for the US guys this seems expensive, but in the land of Canuks... its a damn good deal.
Start with a bike that retails at $15,600, work out a deal and pay $14,000 then add the GST, PDI and freight, and for some a provincial tax and your lookin at $15,300 to $16,385!
The black book wholesale lists a extra clean 2006 at $10,500
The shock and swingarm combined retail over $3000 alone.
Maybe I need to show the retail for each part.

Its not that bad a deal in the us either, for all the work thats been done on bike! We are having a really slow time of the season here in DE. not much of anything selling. And it is a lttle like you say some one could duplicate the bike here for a little less, but who's to say it would turn out anywhere near as clean as your bike. IMO copys never do!! Here's a bump for one of the best looking 14s on these forums bill...

Well, despite the fact that I don't see eye to eye with you. It's still a nice machine.

The issue I have with parting it out is it becomes a huge hassle, unbolting, bolting up stock , then shipping parts to everyperson everywhere, or one guy rapes all the nice stuff off it, for pennies on the dollar, making the bike less desireable as a package.
If It doesn't sell, I will sell the exhaust, maybe a few other pieces.
I have no problem keeping the bike.
Its an awesome machine!
Comfy I mean super comfy with the clip ons and rearsets!, fast , handles well, versatile with the arm and shock, and did I already mention its stupid fast?
The entire package performance wise is mind boggling.
I absolutley hammer the shit out of my buddies stock zx14! NO N2O!
I can't wait to try some 08 busa and 08 zx14's!
I will eventually turbo it instead of a literbike!
We just got another 10" of snow last night...
I have been eyeing a new yamaha Nytro FX ... real HARD!
