Parting out ZX12R race bike.

I am just starting to put together a list of the race parts and stock parts I have, and will be selling soon on ebay. PM me with any questions or offers you may have on these parts or others I may have for a 12.

the seat will fit your bike and will drop your seat hight by over an inch. The seat is sewn together with material from factory seat. There is a step about 5 inches from the front that keeps you pinned to the tank, but allows you so slide back and up after the launch.

Ballast is a one off custom. It fits below the radiator and clears the stock bodywork. It weighs about 8.5 lbs and attaches on the cylinder head, on the rear pan, and on the oil cooler. It definitely helped in coming out of the hole at WOT. Its almost impossible to see with visual inspection. Price delivered $60. I have a leaded front axle as well. I can weigh this when I get it off the bike but it adds a couple of pounds as far forward as possible. Price delivered $40.

Ron Quinn,
Cams are Megacycles X1 on the intake; .405 lift and 255 duration and X5 on exhaust; .384 lift and 251 duration. These duration numbers on the cam card are at zero clearance. I didn't get anything at all like that at .040" when I degreed them in. Cams have adjustable cam sprockets installed. They also come with an adjustable cam sensor trigger wich is necessary if you are putting them on 00 or 01 and later heads. $425 for cams delivered.

Cases have been modified by HMP. They have 4 sprayers pointed to the bottom of each piston, and they also have oil restrictions in the output to the alternator and tranny to increase flow to the rods. They were also line honel. They have never had a spun rod or main bearing in these cases and crankshaft combination. Cases are $425 delivered. Stock stroke Crank is in great shape (never rewelded) and is also for sale.

Muzzy fuel pump is 3 seasons old and is 75 dollars delivered.

KZ Scott,
Lockup is an MTC single stage. After I got it set right, I went from replacing a clutch every three passes, to leaving it there for the season. It comes with three spring sets and lots of weights and spacers, but I would provide stack hight and set up baseline that works as a starting point. $350 delivered. Muzzy pump is $75 delivered. Steering damper is a Scotts and comes with an install kit for ZX12. Pain to install but works very well when finished. I can email you photos of any of this stuff if you request by PM. Cheers.

KZ Scott,
Thanks for reminding me. Photos of lockup sent to your email. Lockup includes the outer plate, spacer, shift rod spacer, extended puller, puller bearing, and the modified clutch cover. The clutch cover has a pressed in throw out bearing seen in photos. $350 total. Includes weights, spacers, SHC screws and instructions. Also includes 3 spring sets. Stock, heavy and heavier. Although the lockup only needs stock if its set up correctly.
