DYMAG MAGNESIUM WHEELS (zx7, zx12 and maybe 14?) CHEAP!!!
Hey gang. I have been sitting on these magnesium wheels for a while now and rather than getting them mounted on my 12 I am regretably deciding to sell them. Those of you who know me know I spent quite a bit of money racing this season (Bonneville, buying a truck for Bonneville, bought a gixxer 600, etc) and need to recoup some of my losses.
I purchased a pair of front and rear gold colored lightweight magnesium wheels from a 12 guy (screenname is turboblew, on bikeland, labusas, etc) back in early 2006. 3.5" front, 6" rear. Received:
Both front and rear wheels
Brand new bearings
Brand Sprocket (48 tooth), hub/carrier
but never received the wheel spacers.
I contacted Dymag's only US distributor and they said that they would have to order the spacers (I believe 7 in all for approx $200) from the UK.
The Sprocket is made by Talon who if I remember correctly also is in the UK so if you'd like something besides a 48 tooth. To keep it close to stock some of you top end guys can pick up a 19 tooth front for $35 to get you back near 200 mph  If you like your wheelies, like a little more grunt or do some drag racing then this set-up will be just right for you 8)
BTW you can have spacers and sprockets custom made here in the states for approx the same $$ if not less if you'd like. I just didn't have the time or patience.
In any case, the front retail for $1000 and the rear retail for $1500. I won these on ebay from Turboblew for about $1200 so that is what I am asking. For now I am not really negotiable on the price but if you have a reasonable offer you can PM me and we can see where things lead.
I'd prefer cash, a certified check, money order or paypal if need be but you will be responsible for the paypal fees. I can ship these wheels out but obviously the buyer would pay for shipping and it would probably be a good idea to get them insured although if a tracking number is all you'd like thats fine too.
I am in the MD/VA/DC area so if you are nearby you are more than welcome to come take a look at them in person. They really are nice, I HATE to sell them because if its one thing the ZX12 OR ZX7 NEEDS its LESS WEIGHT!!!!
If you want to improve your fuel economy, acceleration, braking and cornering these will make a very noticable difference....for about the same price as a Brand new Full Akro I think they are a steal
Forgot what these things weight but I can weigh them in the near future for anyone interested (don't have a scale @ home). I want to say 6.xx for the front and 10.xx for the rear??? Can't remember 100% since it was back in the beginning of the year.
Anyways, I'm offering them up for sale HERE, Bikeland and a couple local websites. Not doing the buzzkill ebay thing unless I have to, but if I have to I will.
Any questions feel free to PM me or reply here. There are a couple tiny knicks from the previous tire changes :x but they should not be an issue in terms of structural integrity or visually once tires are mounted.
I know there are quite a few BIG guys on 12s  ... come on... you know you want to tip the scales back in your favor...those literbikes can be downright pesky

I didn't take any pics of the front wheel have no problem doing so if anyone would like me to do so (serious buyers only though pls).
Peace,
Ali

Someone better jump on these ,
I have them on my 04 12r and they transformed the bike from a
very good handling bike into a "Great " handling bike.
Well worth the price he is asking...

Thanks cap. ZXLNT...I would presume they could fit w/the proper spacers considering both the 12 and 14 have 6" wide wheels. I can take specific measurements of different parts of the wheels if you think it would help and/or take up close pics of certain parts.
I used to think lightweight wheels aren't "worth" the gain but really the more I thought about it, the more they benefit in ALL types of riding. 1-2 tenths @ the 1/4 mile, about 1 mph @ Maxton, better cornering and sooner or later while riding on the streets these big beasts need to come to a stop to avoid something...
Its a win win win win situation really. Aside from a dry shot of nitrous and a decent pipe these IMO really equate to excellent bang for the buck....plus I think they look great w/the Kawi goldish color of the calipers (2000 forks I think are diff color than others???) and some of the coloring of the goldish stickers that came w/the 12s.

In that pic of the rear wheel, it looks like there's no bearings fitted?
Are these wheels still for sale?
