Speed Record Setting ZX-10 for sale
For those of you that have been following the progress of my land speed bike over on ZX-10r.net in the Performance section you have hopefully seen the details of the 202.93580mph land speed record we set on nitrous with this bike and the 196.88915mph that it ran on motor only. Many of you may know Dan the father of Chad Millholland that is a regular poster here. Chad is the rider that set the records on the bike for me.
The bike is also featured in the latest issue of Sport Rider so check there for details too. Since the project is now finished I am selling the bike to move on to the next article/project bike.
Everything on the bike was professionally installed and it has the best of everything I could find to build what you see. Also anytime the stock parts were replaced I have the original parts. Like the original fuel tank, fenders, front and rear, blinkers, mirrors, sprockets, wheels and tires etc etc. I think I have everything that came off the bike except perhaps the cam chain tensioner and stock intake cam.
Now for the LONG list of what the bike does have. And please read everything because there is a lof of stuff on this bike.
Star Racing head port and deck, Kawasaki race intake cam and head gasket, APE Manual cam tensioner, Muzzys dry nitrous kit, Powercommander, Quick Shifter, Wideband commander, Gale Speed Forged Aluminum wheels, Cut down fuel tank, Double Bubble Shield, Hotbodies Undertail, Muzzys Damper, Schnitz adjustable Kickstand, Muzzys rear lowering links, Schnitz mirror block off plates, Schnitz front lowering strap and bracket, custom nitrous bottle holder. NX Express fully automatic bottle heater, Hindle full race (2.25") exhaust, 520 race chain and several sprockets (37-38-39 rear and 18 front), Exotic Cycle Swingarm extensions, rear braided brake hose, Custom metal chain guard.
The bike made about 174hp on the engine only at my tuners conservative dyno and 193 on the nitrous with the 28 jet. The record was set using the #30 jet so I assume somewhere over 200hp approx on the bottle. It has 2 dyno passes on the bottle and ONE nitrous pass at Maxton to set the record so the motor is not hurt or beat on any more than the average streetbike.
I have sold several of my previous project bikes to people on various internet boards and can provide references to let you know how happy they have been with my bikes. I think this makes #5-6 over the last 4-5 years that I have built and sold like this.
The bike has about 550 miles and is in great condition. This is NOT a beat up road race type bike and is my personal baby that I have built from the ground up so it looks and runs tight !!
I would be willing to sell the aftermarket wheels with the Pirelli race tires (50 miles on them) for $1200 firm so email me direct if interested. Otherwise I DONT want to part the bike out yet. If it doesnt sell in a few weeks I may start selling stuff like the nitrous kit, wideband, cut down fuel tank etc piece by piece. But I will not go inside the engine or remove basic stuff like the exhaust, power comander etc. Anyone buying the bike would want that stuff anyway.
I am asking $11,250 for the whole bike and all parts. If you assume the cost of a USED 05 bike at $7500 you will see that I am only asking $3750 for all the extras and the wheels alone retail for $1900. For those of you that have built trick bikes like this you know it would easily cost 15K to duplicate this and it still would not hold the production and nitrous land speed records like this one does.
I think I listed everything on the bike but I am sure I forgot some stuff so I may add as I realize the missing parts.
Please email me directly if you are interested and I am located in Chattanooga, TN

Here is what the bike looks like today with the stock tank, stock front fender and swingarm extensions removed. Plus I pulled off all the decals.
So as you can see it makes a great streetbike too. And doesnt look so freaky as it does with the tank and fender from before
