WANTED: 2004 Black or Blue ZX10R

I'm officially in the market for a 2004 ZX10R as stated in the title. Please read this description carefully as I'm NOT interested in trades or salvage/track/rebuilt bikes! I am only interested in a low mileage, clean/clear titled bike. The closer to WI the better as I don't feel like traveling much anymore. An added bonus would be an exhaust either full or S/O, /PC3, /damper. Please don't bother if you're looking to get over $7100 because I could pick a very clean one with low mileage locally. With that being said, Why don't I just buy that one? I just saw a black one go on eBay for $6200, but I wasn't in the position to bid-darn banks!! I don't want to insult anyone, but they're not holding their value like I thought and the 2006's are already on CycleTrader. Since this would be my 10th bike, I know their value. If you're looking to sell, Email me.

I am in Long Island New York. I know I am taking a bit of a hit selling it but I hardly even rode it this summer due to trying to spend time with my kids. I think it is time to get back into boating it is more family friendly. If interested give me a call 1-516-807-5968.

anything you find for less then $7200 will likely be an 04 totally stock with either high milage or wrecked or dropped...You're looking for a rediculous # for a bike which happens to sell at bluebook retail or more. You should check out NADA's numbers on their website...that is afor a totally stock bike, and that is what people with mint zx10r's will be asking for their bikes. They might sell for up to 5% less then asking price but keep the average retail in mind as the price for a stock zx10r in very good or mint condition. A very good price for an 04 fully stock bike in mint condition would be $7200. Then if your looking at anyting more on up start adding $$$. I have a 04 black in flawless condition and fully stock and when I listed here I had a $8200 cash offer. The difference between a used 04 or 05 and a new 05 is they save a little bit of money on the bike and save more off the TT&L since it is already paid and you know how we do the taxes, sneakily...and the bike has already been broken in, so you get to tear it up from the second you buy it...I heard someone on ebay has an orange 04 with a D&D slip-on, otherwise totally stock, and he sold it for $7300 or $7100 so you missed out on that bas azz deal. It had 8k miles though, while mint ones will have barely any...mine has 2k miles.

If you read my original post CAREFULLY, you'd understand my ad. If you don't have something to offer, leave it alone. I'm just quietly putting out feelers and am in no hurry. If someone near by(IL,MI,MN,IA) wants to get a sled for winter and doesn't want to make bike payments over winter, I have cash in hand, but I'm willing to wait. I will only park it for the winter anyways. I hope this clarifies my ad.

Same here. You did not specify the distance you are willing to go to. One persons idea of far is sometimes different then anothers. Plus there is always the ability to meet halfway.

Apology accepted!! I was, though, very interested in your '05 until I saw the dented frame. I don't think you were upfront about the damages and people grilled you about it on the 10R.net forum. To me, that's a red flag. Ron Ayers had frames for $500. You could have it stamped with your clean numbers and the bike would sell. Just my honest opinion.

Looking back at that thread, I did mention the frame in the very first post. I also mentioned that it was still perfecftly straight, I took her up to 160mph and let go of the handle bars and she was straight as an arrow so there is no need to replace the frame IMHO.

Good luck. I'll keep an eye out if I see anything in your area.

$7100. I can crate and ship, so you may consider the location being in SoCal is a non-issue, but you would have a freight charge - estimated $300 (+/-). I would pay for the crate.

Mint Perfect '04 black. 5200 miles. OEM Seat Cowl, OEM/Euro signals,
Carbon/Ti Slip-On, Carbon Fiber Muffler Bracket & Heel Guards, Muzzy
Dampner, Aluminum swingarm spools. Comes also with OEM/USA signals,
stock muffler, BMC Race filter (in a box). Oil/Filter changed 4x. Stock
Air Filter cleaned at 4200 miles. Garage kept and covered. Never ridden
in the wet.

'06 10 & 14 coming. Need space. Was going to put the '04 up in CycleTrader within the next month or so anyway. If interested, e-mail at; kbryantareap@sbcglobal.net

I appreciate the offer, but I wouldn't want to deal with the shipping. I got a quote from the east coast and it was almost $700 via Forward Air. Also, I'd like the mileage to be under 2K.
Thanks for the heads-up though!
