Dragbike.com project ZX-12 Turbo is now for sale

For the bike as built minus the aftermarket brakes, carbon wheels and damper which have all been removed and put back to stock I am asking. $16,000. The motor package alone with the pistons, rods, crank, valve springs, muzzys locker clutch, water injection, 2 stage boost controller, dual ball bearing turbo,installation etc etc retails for about $12,000 as best I can add everything up. I am sure I am leaving out 10 more things though. Irridium screen, mirror covers, swing arm extensions, new oring chain, Also has Schnitz rear lowering links, kickstand, irriduim shield, full exhaust with carbon can AND dump pipe, Second look custom tank cover and seat skins.

Not to mention the 2003 bike that I bought new and only has about 5-600 miles on it. By far most of which was put on before the turbo.

I have all stock parts including blinkers, clutch plates etc. Everything except the stock rods and pistons. The motor is stock bore if you are curious. Kevin built the motor and it is a Velocity system.

I will be listing it on all the boards and perhaps ebay after the articles go live on dragbike.com and Sport Rider magazine.

It has about 5 passes at Maxton 4 of shich were sighting/licensing passes. One was 5th gear at 203 by me and 218.5 in sixth by Shierts. Then we parked it. Ran compression on the motor and all 4 cylinders are within 5 psi

Since compression is so much lower on this bike I did not think the average person would care for the numbers since they may not understand. I forget how much more detailed internet readers are than the typical magazine audience I write for in print. You are right.

1=130
2=131
3=128
4=127

Of course the difference in 127 and 128 is not that exact but the point is they are all very tight and exactly where they should be for a lowered compression motor like this with pistons and a spacer plate
