does anyone have a broken nose fairing....
I took my 12 apart today...looking for a vibration from the dash area at about 7000 rpm (I think it was actually from the ram air grilles resonating at different rpms). Once I got the nose fairing off I noticed that the lower mounting boss on the left hand side (as seen from sitting on the bike) is missing. This is the piece that the push-in pin inserts into to hold the inner fairing to the nose fairing. The previous owner must have snapped it off and failed to repair it. Does anyone have a broken nose fairing that they would be willing to cut up and donate to the repair of mine? All I need is the mounting boss and a little piece of the fairing itself. I will be happy to pay shipping, and a little extra if need be.

yeah, except the piece is missing. The moulding of a new piece will make for a complicated form. If I have to build one, I will make it out of sheet aluminium and bond it onto the fairing. I just was hoping someone would have a piece I could use as a donor.
