Read carefully, what did I say the current administration did? The deregulation part was left ambiguous, but we can't blame any one party for that one, they all were just as much to blame. So I well take both sides, the fucking democrats did it and the fucking republicans did it. They both saw a way to get rich and figured that it would trickle down. Also as far as the "Current administration" goes it is a bush thing not a republican thing.
Let's face it, what we have now is not working, can we agree on that? Lets also agree that congress sucks and both parties need to take a long hard look at themselves before they go the way of the dodo.

The one good thing going on now, is a majority in congress of the same party as the White House.I laugh, and not at you Ted, but I keep hearing about change, but then they have the same people in charge of all the subcommittees. With a majority in congress, they will have no one to blame if their policies are not as fruitful as they've been promising.

Hopefully that bunch of pea brains will finally realize that they need to start thinking about their country instead of themselves. I won't hold my breath.

Kind of a two edged sword if you ask me,if Obama fails to produce any real change,he fails not only as a democrat but as a black man.One hell of a way to be infamous throughout history.

How do we base whether or not a president has failed?
Is it safe to say that Bush failed as a white man, a republican, or a President?
You Choose......
This is a victory on so many levels....
I would rather Obama get the opportunity and fail,
than to never be able to have the opportunity at all......

Oh Okay....
Bush has succeeded as President of the United States for the past 8 years but
the United States is currently failing because of the Democrats......
Thats a good way to look at it.
There are quite a few Americans who are misinformed then, because word of the streets is that the Bush Administration has phucked up.... due to greed.

Having Franklin Raines as Obama's Chief Financial advisor is like having the captain of the Titanic as an advisor on shipping. Raines walked from the doomed mortgage giant with a cool 50 Mil. It is alleged that Fannie Mae CEO's cooked the books for years to show a fake profit which would boost their yearly bonuses. Will we see a senate investigation? Don't make me laugh. The chairman of the senate banking committee democrat Chris Dodd is the numero uno recipient of Fannie Mae political contributions. The second highest recipient was ...guess who...first term senator Obama. Oh yeah, another one of Obama's top advisors, Jim Johnson is also a former CEO of Fannie Mae who walked off with about 35 Mil

So that's how chumps like yourself determine whether the economy is good or not,Google approval ratings. How pathetic! However I will give you the benefit of doubt and surmise that you probably get your info from a more liberal news source than I. I did not realize there was that much of a difference until I bought a different paper last week.If I read that style of news every day,I would probably start believing half of this slant from the democrats. So for that,I can see your point.
However you are still wrong. Bahahahahaha

I am not happy either but just remember, this is what America wanted. Bush was far from perfect and don't expect Obama to either. One thing though, the Dems have the control. If things get worse there is nobody else to blame. The country as a whole will learn a lot and I would guess we will never see such a "imbalance of power" again.

I WISH you were right Rich, but I'm afraid that if the Dems. can't make it better, it will still be the fault of the Republicans.

The housing crises is all of their faults. Deregulation and greed. It is an old scheme to get people into houses that everyone felt was a good idea. All the way back to Regan. And it would have worked if other factors in the economy hadn't turned to shit.
Deficit spending, oil prices, 2 wars, greedy fucking politicians on both sides, greedy fucking CEOs, and trickle down economics just to name a few.
One of the biggest drains on our economy is that ill conceived war in Iraq. Poor planning, cronyism, no bid contracts, no repayment plan, and just plain incompetence. And that falls right on the shoulders of the president. With his idealism and lack of brains, there was no other outcome and many people saw this coming.
So with that being said, in just over 2 months we will have a new President that no one can accuse of having a lack of brains, will hit the ground running. And within an hour of him winning changed the way the world thought of us. If he runs this country half as well as he ran that campaign of his, things can't help but improve.
This democrat, republican thing stinks to high heaven. All those assholes should quit thinking about themselves and their ridiculous parties and fix this country. All the petty bickering needs to stop for a while because we have bigger fish to fry.
