I rode a '86 1100 Sabre V4 in the spring, what great power everwhere. I've wondered why the VFR has been a 700 (last year 800) all these years. Friend down the street has a real nice VFR 1000 (mid 80's) red, white, and blue. Those bikes are starting to bring collector money. I'm trying to talk him out of it. I'm very interested in this new honda, even though I wouldn't be able to get one for a couple more years (too many house projects). Maybe Stuart will loan me some money

Mr. Fish,

The time here is 3pm out west it should now be 1pm...

You have a large audience waiting with bated breath… Is Honda actually fielding a new (1400CC XX BlackBird, pushing out 192HP at the wheel, for 2009.

This just in…

Kawasaki has announced that they will discontinue there production of motorcycles as of 2010, and refocus there efforts onto heavy machinery and the next generation of electrical power generators.

This came from a reliable source within Kawasaki (however he was grinning at the time and had consumed one to many wobbly pop’s).

If we can't get good info we should make it up?

I just hope yamaha hasn't overcorrected by taking a bike known for its peaky power rush and no low end, to a bike with all torque and no top end rush to speak of. The liter bike guys seem to like lots of big power up high, I'm not sure how they'll take to a hayabusa/14 style of power delivery in 1000cc's. It might not feel fast enough for'em Plus you have the gixxer 1000's which are known to give a pretty good dose of both for a literbike
