I just wanted to give you guys a heads up..... The preliminary dyno testing is underway with Competition CNCs Stage 1 HV cylinder head. Early testing is showing excellent peak hp numbers, but the best part is the midrange power compared to other "well known" CNC and or hand ported heads.
This head is excellent for the street and isn't just a peak power drag racing head. Power is improved across the board unlike most all other ported heads. This head was designed for Busas from 1299cc to 1450cc with aftermarket cams.

Stay tuned for more charts and details coming soon.....

Ok, heres the head data sheet and the results on the dyno. The dyno testing was done by Quamtam Motorsports.

The engine was a mild 1397 with an intake cam on the exhasut side and a megacycle .385"/252 on the intake side.

A very streetable combo that starts with one battery!!!

Nice paperwork...... but what about the NUMBERS that REALLY matter?

E.T. and M.P.H

All the dyno testing and flow charts in the world won't tell you if your ports are any good. I've seen heads that make HUGE power on the dyno and put down HUGE flow numbers... yet run like poop.

No disrespect, but have you done any REALWORLD testing with your heads?

Example:

Stock head bike "A" runs 192mph consistantly in calm conditions in the standing mile at xx*F temp.

After headwork, bike "A" ran 196mph consistantly in the same conditions in the same distance.

I think if you came up with REAL performance gains, you would get a LOT more business. People want to know what they can expect to gain in performance, not just the "specs" on what you've done to the head.

Again, not trying to be a dick here, I'm actually very interested in seeing exactly how good these computer designed ports actually are since you're the first I've seen do it on sportbikes.

I'm not worried. Look at the power at the shift recovery rpm.

We will be track testing in early january. The feed back so far is consistant.

Good luck with the track testing.

I hope to see some Comp.CNC head equiped bikes perform well next year at Maxton or Goliad.

Yes. The stage 2 is being modeled now and were doing some calcs on it and about to cut the first one. As soon as thats done then the "Bonneville" head is next.
There will be 3 head choices for Busa owners by the end of January. We are also working on optimum cam and compression specs for each head.
