I dont mind the looks of the bike, and personally I like the orange paint scheme.

the orange looks great. i don't like the rear. as far as the brand loyalty competiton, Suzuki has acquired a cultish following like no other brand, and I'm sure that bike will out sell the 14 by 5:1 at least.
I was hoping for new big Suzuki to trade my 14 for, but the '08 isn't it.

I'd need to ride the bike to decide.... IMHO neither the ZX-12R or the "legacy" Busa, OR the 14 have been real "lookers"... they all have styling cues that some people either love or hate, and they tend to grow on you...

ya I agree, and none of 'em are bikes to look at whatsoever. performance design-wise Suzuki just didn't change it as i thought they would, like something totally radical and profound - less weight/CC's//HP/suspension.

Do you guys really think the 08 busa will be that much better than the 07 to justify the cost. I hope for suzukis sake the clutch is better and the brakes. If not the word will grow fast and then the 07s will all be gone and the 08 riders will be holding the bag. Not everone wants a big dispacement motor to drag. handling stopping and all around general feel of the bike counts the most and right now the 14 beats the 07 in every department. The biggest problem for me on the busa it felt like it was 100 lbs heavyier than it was. One word HUGE compared to the 14. I wouldnt mind trading in my gxr so i will ride it when its available.

Magazine riders at the road course said the Brakes were not all that great on the new Busa ... One more win for the zx14 ....

I personally think the ZX-12 looks like a typical sportbike. It's the look that made me fall in love with sportbikes. It actually fit in with the sportbike crowd. I was very skeptical about the ZX-14 when I found out about it being the successor. The looks set apart the busa AND and 14 from the rest of the sportbike crowd....they may not be pretty, but people know they aren't your average sportbikes....

I still have to see the bike perform with some modifications. I bet you could probably launch it just fine with it stretched, strapped and slammed. Stock height is always hard as ever to launch with the aid of something. Didn't the 14 run better numbers than that on it's day view though?

LOL Same caliper's that come stock on my ZRX. The older Busa's that is. Yes they could be better.

Gained TQ most every where but lost HP down low. Still big improvement over the old Busa.
