Ya right, even the old busa with a good rider can out run the 14 if the rider is so-so. My buddy that weighs 185 unsuited went 9.600 on his 05 Busa friday night. and he had a 60 ft that could have got him a 9.55 but he missed the 2 -3 shift on that pass. it's a stock motor just Brock gen 3 exhaust and lowerd. my 14 was 2 tenths quicker then my Busa so it is faster but rider is everthing. I've seen alot of 14s not go in the 9.60s. when the 08 Busa hits the street it and the 14 will be so close it's going to really depend on the rider. theres alot of people waiting for me to give a review of how my 08 Busa stacks up against my 14 becuase they know I will be honest and say whats better on what bike. so just wait a month and hopefully I will have my 08.

I was hoping someone would own both bikes and give a fair and realistic comparison

I owned my Busa and my first 12R at the same time. I gave some fair comparisons I thought......................but I get tickled that the 12R get's left out of the conversation nowadays and only the Busa and 14 get compared.

Taking a stock Busa and stock 12R to the dyno on the same day showed the 12 making a few more hp everytime it seemed. Add an aftermarket exhaust to both and back on the dyno with no tuning and the 12 increased it's hp lead even more................

Install a pc and make timing adjustments to both and the 12 got farther ahead still............

With a 2" shorter wheelbase...............riding the 12 on the same loop back to back with the Busa, it was a no brainer which one was sportier to ride. The Busa seemed like it was hinged in the middle also..........the 12's chassis is much stiffer.........

Then there is the "looks" dept........................no contest......................
