Busa riders are so silly. I still like beating them at the strip on my old school ZRX. LOL

True, they wouldreally get mad if post that over the busa forum. Of course they woudn't believe you and you would end up with a bloody forehead from beating it against the wall. I did myself trying to convince them.

WOW , I like it.
Competitive stock and Killer build potential.
Old 1397 pistons kit will push this bike over 1400cc in one weekend.
Try to put a piston kit in the zx14 over the weekend. LOL
Busa is still the small block chevy of the bike world,
and will still be the primary weapon of the track.
For Drag racers this one will be hard to pass up.
longer stroke, easy to add a piston kit, 3 maps, 2 injectors per cyclinder, two fans, aftermarket parts aready here.
Carpenter heads and turbos will show up on these bikes before most of us
even get to ride one. It is a upgraded BUSA!
The zx14 saving account could be renamed the busa fund.

1hp more, 11lbs heavier.

No thanks, never mind the looks.

It'll be close no doubt, but K has alot left to put into the 14.

Let the games begin.

Now that I have confirmed it on the Suzuki media site. I am sold. I like it and I will be getting one. Only one problem Black or Orange? I already have a 01' Blue and Silver.

Orange would be my choice. Another plus is that it can run in the 1350 class at Maxton...unlike the 14.

looks like the same old frame, i'm sure it will run ok, but it is not even close to the technology and redesign kaw did on th 14, does suzuki have a computer area network?

Back end was always a sore spot and remains as such...

Only 5 lbs heavier than the 14, so I'm assuming that the engine numbers are probably the same as the 14's curve. Probably won't use secondary flies, or if it does, have the same dramatic effect as the 14. Man that backend is butt fucking ugly so I won't be changing my 14 for that, but I'm sure it'll be a super performer. Love to demo that puppy when it's around though.

I suspect that it will be a close match to the 14. They will both be running very close to the same displacement now. It will be up to the rider. Let the smack begin!!! LOL

I tend to agree with you...since there are self imposed restrictions in place by the manufacturers, they can't be jumping up by another 20HP...weight is basically the same and my guess is that the power curve will match the 14 as well. So, how much better could it handle than a 14 anyway? We're talking minimal at best, if at all. Hope it finally has some brakes --they sucked before. I would bet though, that the heat management is as good as it was before, Suz always had that one down pat!

One thing hard to debate- Suzuki has built fans and brand loyalty (cult-ish following)with the Hayabusa of yesteryear.

I strongly suspect for that reason alone it'll outsell the 14 by a wide margin no matter what it does on a drag strip or race track.

It is like getting caught with an Fugly woman who can really work things in Bed and then someone else also gets caught in the same situation! They then form a club so they can all enjoy the Fugly women and no one say much!

I thought the original looked bad enough and now those Running Board Mufflers really do make it Fuglier than the 14!

Then you shouldn't be posting on this forum.

Fish - please move all of KaangMe's (b03818) to the Smackhouse.

I don't care what you own...but your post have no technical merit regarding the 14 or the 2008 busa.

Actually Kawasaki and Suzuki are BOTH Like ford and Chevy's The 4 cyl KZ1000 is a Chevy and the 4 Cyl GS1000 Suzuki is a Ford as far as the aftermarket is concerned. Then it got a little mixed with the Oil Cooled GSX Suzuki and the First Water Cooled Kawasaki and now between the Busa and the ZX12R there are more parts for the Busa than the ZX12R but of course it is changing again with the ZX14!

The only difference is, Chevy NEVER went to bed with the Ford like Kawasaki and Suzuki Did!

Well guys i can live with the looks of the front end and i like it best in the blue color ...I'm sure with 198 HP at the crank with ram air it will be a great race for the zx14 ...Seeing the zx14 has 197 at the crank with ram air it should be close and up to the rider for the win..
I do feel this new Busa is a knee jerk reaction to the zx14 ...Zooky should have built a brand new bike and not just patched up the old busa...But they rushed to market and didn't do what we all wanted them to do...We all wanted a brand new busa with killer HP and killer looks ....But not the case ... Same old brakes master cylinders , same old frame and i'm sure the motor is full of vibations just like the old motor....

I still can't get over that tail !!!! what were they thinking ?? It must have been a bad acid trip or a flash back from one ...Now i was never a lover of the old tail but this new one is the worst thing i have ever seen... But Zooky have no fear they will sell no matter how ugly it is....Proof that they will sell is because even that the zx14 kicked ass on the older Busa people still kept buying them.....As for me buying one ....NO friggen way !!! A match in power and ugly doesn't get my money..... Truely if i still had my 05 Busa i would not trade it in for an 08 ...I would just buy a big bore and cams ...... I can see it now ... Come on zooky boys get your 13.4 VW Hayabusa while they last ...lol.... J/K .... Smokin...

I know more than you think slick. I have a 2001 Busa and I know every inch of it. I have worked on bikes for a long time and I have work on kawasaki krap too, like the ZX12 for instance. What retard puts the spark plugs in a place that requires the mechanic to have to tilt the engine forward to remove/inspect/replace them. You best watch your mouth son when your talking to your daddy!
