I am waiting for the new big bike suzuki will come out with next. Technology does not stop improving. I still remember when everybody was thinking the ZX11 and GSXR1100 was as big as it was going to get. What happen to that theory.

i guess i have to see what 08 busa will look like, if it is the same previous bike, i would keep my 07 zx14. will find out soon.

If the ZX14 is such a prize, why are the Kaw dealers trying to give them away? I have seen them for $9,500 out the door new tx,tg, title. That is low for AZ. RED FLAG

If the Busa is such a prize what is the dealer here dumping the Busa for 9,200 OTD ...

Info on the new Busa is leaking out as we get closer to Vegas dealer show ....Looks like the Busa gets 1350 CCs , 200 HP at the crank With RAM AIR .....Well if that is it i will NOT be getting one ....The zx14 makes 197 with ram air and i'm not trading for 3 hp...!!! Other things to look at are > did they get rid of the nasty motor vibrations >> Did they upgrade the trans so it doesn't jump out of gear >>>did they fix that nasty grabby clutch >>And i hope they got rid of the damn whale hump...
Other things to look at will the New Busa respond to mods like the zx14? It have been said that the new Busa was ready for 2007 but zook felt it didn't out do the zx14 so they pulled it and went back to the drawing board to find a little more HP ..Whats that tell you? lol...Sounds to me that zook rushed to market a new Busa with a few new goodies and not going to give us a brand new bike, just a warmed over 99 to 07 Busa..
We will know in a very short time and i hope i'm wrong because i really want a 220 HP stock killer Busa ...

Hell! I would expect that for a 7 year old bike, but not a brand new model line. That is less than what the Busa sold for when it first came out in 1998-1999. I guess with the speed resrtrictions there is no reason to charge that kind of doe for these new gen. bikes.

Same story here. Busas going for 8900. Kawasaki doesn't spend half the money that suzuki does on advertising, and therefore doesn't have the following that suzuki has. Not to mention all the hype over the famous Hayabusa from either Suzuki themselves or the loyal Suzuki riders has made all the young kids and first time buyers want one. Poser value. Follow the money. The aftermarket goes after the masses. Doesn't mean the ZX isn't a great bike. Just because they are discounting them doesn't mean they are loosing money either. Don't take this the wrong way. I have great respect for the Hayabusa. It has been a fast bike for a long time. Which bike sells better means little to nothing unless you have stock in the company. I'll put my 14 up against any Hayabusa with the same mods and same rider weight. I doubt I'll get beat because my bike doesn't sell as well, or is being disounted at the dealers.

How can that be? The dealer pays $9924 for the ZX14 and gets $525 back when they sell the bike, a net cost to them of $9399. They'd be LOSING money if they sold them OTD for $9500............no way!!

The bikes are so close in performance that it is up to the rider. I have seen 600's,750s, and 1000s beat hayabusa's on the track and street. That does not mean the bike is slow, but the rider is not skilled enough to make the bike perform to its ability. Another thing you must take into consideration too is not all bikes are what they seem. I have seen 600's with busa engines as well as 1000 engines. That is the beauty of mods and mechanical ability. You say Kaw does'nt spend much in ads. I have seen more Kaw ads than I have ever seen Zuk ads.

it's a toss up, and with the european union leaning on the industry to stay under top speed 300 kph, I don't see any whopping increase in power coming down the pike, just less weight and more bling. If slowzuki is smart they'll come out with a good looking bike and I'd probably buy one. Kaw is not going to change the styling of the 14 for a couple years unless the new busa' steals sales from them
