240mph ZX12R - 268mph Busa!!
Andy "Header" Head just just run 240.8mph on his turbo 12R at a records meeting at RAF in Elvington in the UK.
On Sunday Frank "Flying Dutchman" ran 254.9mph on his turbo Busa.
It is hoped that a new UK two-way record will be set by the end of today.

Update...the Dutchman has run 259mph....and 268 on his GPS!!

Andy's has made 530hp ish on the dyno. The Dutchman just says "over 500" and smiles

Franks just been timed at 265mph....they're turning the traps round to run in the opposite direction....

Frank had a water injection switch fail on the return run but still I think the one way speed is a world record?

thought you had to make a follow up run in the other direction to have it be an official record?

Hey Guys, as Lorcan says 240.8 mph with more to come, not quite the 265mph run by the Flying Dutchman, but 250+ with better set up is certainly possible.
Sadly I had a few minor probs so could not back my run up, & I need to run a little shorter as the bike is to be used for 1/4's, which I'm still working on, being a novice at this.
I'd post some pics, but pc numpty.

Sadly that is it on the top speed front from me for this year at least, unless someone makes me an offer I can't refuse, need to get a hook on 1/4's.
But watch this space as their is another ZX12 which will bust 250mph, this guy (Mike Burman) has done some major work to he's bike, so hopefully he will run in September.

A lot of hard work & luck along the way, shame more guys have not taken the plunge to Turbo the 12, but fabrication is the issue, the engine can deal with it.
However BigCC who built the bike have been great at helping me through this, with their determination to make this succeed, so a big thanks to them.
Can't wait to see how they get on with turboing a ZX14, they hope to start on one shortly.
