ZX14 or ZX14R?
G'day all, I have an '07 ZX14 and it is badged as a ZX14R . From what I have read the "R" is the later model with ABS. Was there a ZX14R produced in '07?

negative. "R" isn't truly an "R" model in the sense that it isn't a honed down, lightened racing version of the 14 as "R" usually suggests.
The "R" gets a few more ccs and traction control amongst other things...

2012 on up zx14R is a night and day SUPERIOR bike over the zx14. Plus it has 30 more rear wheel horsepower out of the box not to mention 220 uncorked. it`s the gentlemans Tomahawk missile on 2 wheels.

Thanks fellas,
I'm very happy with my bike, just thought the "R" was out of place. It's by far the most powerful bike I've owned in my 30 years of riding and has plenty of power for my needs. Power commander and Yoshi pipes + a few other minor mods has her at 198 bhp on the dyno.
