Last crash
So, I haven't been on here in a while. A couple of years ago, I retired from the Army and started going to school fulltime, and working an internship. I have made time for riding, but not for posting.
So, Monday, some half-brained college Freshman decides to take a left turn from the right lane heading back to her dorm. The two good things I have to say are that I can walk (with lots of pain) and that I did pretty good damage to the side of her 07 Toyota Yaris.
I am waiting on the insurance adjuster to check out the bike, hopefully Saturday.
Sad to say, I am out. No more bikes. My back has been telling me to give it up for years, but I grew up riding. 50,000 on my 2010 ZX14.
Thanks to all of the great people on here. I learned so much (and I thought I knew quite a bit a bout bikes. Now I think I know less than I thought I knew then).
At least I can be happy about the last bike I got to ride. But really sad to see it end.

Wow. Thank God you're alright...
I know it seems like stepping back is what you need right now. I've seen it first hand ...
That being.said,I'd lay money on you throwing your leg over a low cc dirt bike after a while... next thing you know you'll move to a little street bike and then something new and shiny will catch your eye.
And yes... the members of this site are amazing and the knowledge stored here continues to surprise me. Last week I went zx12r information hunting after spotting a used one on craigslist. Almost every Google search brought me back to here. Chatted with Doug Meyer the other day and he laughed... same thing happened to him and in fact was referred back to his very own posts LOL
Hang in there....
Oh... and your post is useless without pix! Photos please

I will post pics after I get the bike back.
I can't believe, there was no structural damage. Just standard low side damage.
I really don't think I even want to fix it.
Yeah fish, I know that I will want to ride again, but, I am sure I won't while my wife is alive. Well, maybe the dirt bike.
The thing is, the is the second serious wreck I have had. The first was in 2005, CBR 900rr. I rebuilt that bike, even welding the frame back together in 6 places. But my back was never the same.

So, here are the pics of the bike.
It is time for me to get rid of the bike, so, I would ask advice. Some of the parts are out of stock, and they cost as much as some aftermarket (yeah, I know, Chinese) fairings.
I just want to get a reasonable amount for the bike.
What is a reasonable price to ask for this? I always used mobil 1 oil, almost new BMC filter, PCV, Speedohealer, Brock's full ceramic coated alienhead, lowered. good tread on tires, no mechanical problems, just rash.
If I should buy a fairing set, where is the best place? I am sure this has been answered several times before, but is there updated info on that?
