Difference in an 06-07 clutch basket form 08 and newer
I have tore apart my motor and found out the clutch basket is junk so I have tried to figure out which one I have its got the one piece rear gear on it. on some sites ive seen that's an 08 and newer but on some others its a 06-07 so I don't know what I got.
also if anyone has one for sale let me know will need basket and clutches. thanks in advance

stock is ok also and gonna need a good set of case halves also

06/07 have the two piece ring gear on the back of the basket.

OK thanks sent crank off and they would know but wanted to know so I could be looking for basket in mean time!

'06 & '07 have the two piece gear. '08 and later have the one piece.
Also, The '08 and later basket gear is 1mm larger in diameter but more importantly the crank gear is 1mm smaller in diameter. This is extremely useful if you are going to stroke the 14 as the gear becomes less of an issue at BDC.
