Two Bros exhaust, good or not so?

Ok the price of Two Bros slip-on exhaust is very tempting at 4 wheel online, so I’m thinking of buying one. Does anyone have real experience with this brand of exhaust? How do you like it when it comes to sound and performance? I’m planning to get the aluminum tip. Thanks for any help.

The TB slip-on mufflers for the 14R are extremely good both in terms of build quality and how they make the bike look. In my opinion, they look better than nearly every other slip-on muffler available for the ZX-14, especially in carbon fibre on a black 14R like mine

The only thing to watch out for is that they are very LOUD and you will want, or perhaps need the optional P1X power tips from TB to quieten them down a little. Once you do that though, they are great - sound tough and look like they were specifically designed for the ZX-14 - they just seem to suit the bike in terms of proportion and style.

It's night here now so I cant get a good photo to show you what I mean, but give me a day or so and I'll get some pictures uploaded on this thread so you can see what I mean.

Cheers!

Greggy

They look good and perform well, they are a little loud, but you can get tips ... The mid pipes are a
Little rough looking compared to other makers ....

The aluminum cans look nice, but you have to polish them all the time, I will try and post a picture of mine

I will also try a post a picture of the new silver series carbon fiber ones, which I would have gotten if they
Wer available at the time ...

Thanks for the info and pic guys. I've heard that the carbon fiber tip will fade over time due to heat. Is this true?

Not if its quality CF and resin.

I had 2bros on my last bike for about 4 years, riding every day and parking in a parking lot for 9-10 hours a day in FL. My cheap ebay gas cap and my tail section faded, but exhaust still looked great.

Ran them again on the 14R for 6-months or so and they still looked brand new when I sold them.

I have same slipons on a 13 se, do you get any popping on decell. I have a pcv with 2bro map. I have removed the cat from the header. On my past 06 & 08 I used reed block off plates. I can't find any listed for the 12-14s. Anybody have thoughts about just capping each reed and blocking up the airbox. Would need to put a resistor where the switching valve is so it won't throw a code. Then I could take out all the plumbing.

I did not get any popping on decel when I had it, but did not have a PC. Was just a stock bike with the 2bros slipon.

There is no cat in the header on the 12+ models.

Just put mine on. The fit and finish are great. The sound is very throaty but loud. A little too loud for my fiancé on the back. I am ordering the P1X tips to quiet it down a little. I am very happy with the price, fit and quality.

Installed Two Brothers Black Series slip-ons one and a half years ago on my 14R. Nice deep tone, loud but not irritating. Good fit and quality. Still a little bit of popping on deceleration even with a fuel controller and after blocking off the PAIR valve.

Puckdragon, there is a cat in the header, it took me 4 hours to get it all out. Not counting plastics. Check chapter 5 page 7 of the service manual. They Don't call it a header, they call it a a manifold. It comes up on page 270. I used various size bell hanger bits and finally went to a 1" x 18 inch paddle bit. Mine is a 2013 and I just did a 2014 on 6/14 .It's in deep and a good 1/4 " electrical snake with a hook helps pull out the crap. Be very carefull of the radiator, protect it with some goo cardboard takeing the header off. All in all that makes 4 I have gutted. I'm pretty sure in 08 they added the 3rd one .

I think I will be getting the PX1 tips, the pipes drove me crazy Sunday on a wild trip up Mt. Washington Sunday, @ 75 mph they make my whole Helmut resonate, I put in some foam ear plugs for the ride home. This bike has more power than a mere mortal can handle, thank God for traction control, I'm running it on 2 till grow some bigger ones.

They may have added it in newer years. I am 99.9% positive my 2012 does not have a cat in the header.

BFG, where did you get the 2014 red/black grill fins? I painted mine back in 2012, but the red is starting to fade and it was such a PITA I don't want to go through it again lol.

I have the black carbon and yes they were too loud. Great fit and finish. Do not REPORT don't dyno with these pipes! Too much heat!! Added P1 tips and "reversing"the with the smaller diameter out is even quieter. Seems to punch better down low too.
