47mm throttle bodies ?
hi live in the uk and plan to increase the bore of the throttle bodiesto 47mm for my 2006 model with tuned engine around 210 rear wheel
question is what size should the butterflys be , have measured the std throttle bodies and the butterflys at 44.4mm would appear to be 0.4mm larger dia than the throttle bore , so if I increase the body bore size to 47mm , will the butterflys need to be 47.4 mm ?

well for sure the std butterflys are made slightly oval as in the fully closed position they are less than 90 degrees to the throttle body. unless someone knows different the new 47 mm butterflys I will need will have to copy the same oval shape

Contact Jim at competitioncnc.com. They bore and reblade throttle bodies. I'm sure he'll know all about it. I just sent him some 14 tb's to be enlarged.
