Auto Shifter
Has anyone on this thread, who drags race ever used an Auto Shifter, where gears shifts at a certain RPM and if so, what are the disadvantages to using one, why don't more people use them and who makes them?

MPS makes them. They are awesome!! The only down side is for the most part if you have any wheel spin it won't shift.

As a matter of fact I have a autoshift box I will sell you. I'm switching to an sb6 so I no longer need it. It works fine it's a few years old but they have a lifetime warranty so if it messes up you send it to MPS and they will send you a new one.

Thanks BM. I jus might do that! If I decide to go in that direction, what will u sell it for and how much do those things typically retail for? What will tha SB6 box allow u to do as far as with the shifter?

not all of us have that issue . I've spun so hard at the tree before that I shifted all 6 gears and didn't move 2 feet .. also i can shift all 6 gears doing the burn out if I want..

nothing special.kill set 1/2 way with air valve "solenoid" attached onto ram port 10k chip but I do only run race cut transmissions but its does it with stock transmissions before I got them cut. I went street riding today and was blowing the tire off with 325rwhp on a 16 over arm . never missed a shift spinning.... tire toasted
