Who's pistons should I use

I've already kind of made up my mind but...

Who's pistons should I use for a 2mm over gen 1.

My choices are the CP or Wossner.

Thanks,

Tom

I'm using CP in my 14 and Wossner in my Turbo Busa. I really like the Wossner pistons but honestly don't think you can go wrong with either as KZScott has said.

Thanks guys. That's kind of what I thought.

I'm starting over with a new build after a piston failed on the dyno last Friday. I guess the good news is that I can bypass a lot of the R&D that got me to the level I'm at right now. Just repeat what I've done, build and improve on it. Should be really fine when it's all done.

Thanks,

Tom

The remaining three pistons all had cracks in the webbing between the pin boss and skirt. I'll try to post some pictures. The window in the block is spectacular!

So the pistons were just coming apart? Were they stock? N/A motor? Never scene a piston just fail like that under N/A conditions. Maybe on boost or spray or with serious lean condition detonation. High compression motor? Just curious.

Hey Tom,

Looks kinda like my 12 engine during a dyno session.

I know you had a lot of passes at land speed events on your 14. Was that engine stock? I remember talking with you at the Texas Miles a few years ago about your ram air system but I can't remember if you had motor work.

I have over 100 time slips over 200 mph between Mojave and Texas, countless 9 second passes at the strip and God knows how many pulls on the dyno.

6 year old J&E's.

Naturally aspirated.

The part that freaked everyone out was, we had just put the Alysin <<0wt oil in it so that I could see what the horsepower gains were, if any. Of course, everone started blaming the oil...

Tom

BTW thanks for the assist, Bad
