Stroker

I'm thinking about putting a 4 mill crank in my Gen One 14 ova the winter. I street ride much more than I race but I want that extra Torque that it will provide. Can you tell me about how many street miles I could possibly get outta a Marine Stroker Crank (from a Bearing wear aspect) and wud it be worth stroking this bike if I still enjoy street riding it like a stock engine bike?

Thanks!

But, I forgot to add...swapping in a 14R engine is your most reliable option, and comparably priced...if not cheaper.

gen2 motor will work in a gen1 frame. You have to drill the head for the cam sensor or switch the wiring harness or put the gen1 head on it.

I have a Gen 2 motor in my Gen 1 bike and I love it. You will flat tell the difference in performance. I posted a thread here on Bikeland almost a year ago about doing the swap. If you have any questions about doing the swap, give me a call at 817.602.8327. Eddie

The pictures I have are all will the cowling on the bike. The way to tell the Gen 2 motors from the Gen 1 motors, without looking at engine serial numbers, are 1.) all the Gen 2 heads I have seen are the unpainted aluminum color ( but that can be easily painted and 2.) the Gen 2 blocks have the tube running horizontally in front of the motor to oil the piston skirts. But with the engine in the bike and all the cowling installed, it's difficult to see this tube unless u get up close and look for it. I know of 2 bikes that have down the engine swap, a Gen 2 in a Gen 1 bike and both dropped .2 off their 1/8 mile times without any additional tuning.
