Vortex vs Sato Rearsets

I am considering getting some aftermarket rear sets for a winter upgrade. I had some Sato's on my 2007 and I loved them. I used them in the lowest position for the most comfort and they cleared my Yosh Exhaust with no problem. I guess I have two questions. Will the Vortex rear sets go as low as the Sato's? And will these rear set come into contact with the Brock's CT Meg which comes out right under the right peg.

can't comment on the clearance with the CT you have on there but can tell you that the Vortex will be just a bit heavier than Satos. If you dremmel out the heal guards, the weight will be about the same.

Vortex looks to have about he greatest range of adjustability. I have them on my 14 and Satos on my busa

Vortex looks a lot better for a big bike like the 14 IMHO. They adjust a bit lower than the stock height.

BTW...OEM footpegs and brackets are lighter than any rearsets. If you want lightweight and stock height just get a set of aftermarket aluminum footpegs and save $$$ too.

Thanks Rook, looks like in that picture you really couldn't put those in a lower position. looks like the attachment for the brake lever would come into contact with exhaust. For me I would want to run those things in the lowest position for comfort.

Joseph Im inquiring about the Ct Meg, the shortie. Im thinking the Sato's would fit but not in a low position.

I had clearance issues with my CT meg when i installed my Driven rear sets, you MIGHT have similar issues. I ended up having to completely remove the belly fairing, modified the muffler bracket 3/8 of and inch lower i also removed the upper spring and the grind down the spring tab from the muffler side. Even after all that i noticed that if i pressed on the rear brake hard enough if would still hit the muffler and then i realized that my brake pads were pretty worn. Swapped out the rear pads and the pedal no longer hits.
I also was looking at the satos but decided to go with the driven cause their rear sets offers more adjustability options
