Finally got my passion red 2013 ZX14R. hard to believe kawasaki could improve on my '06 that much.

Looks fab man....How did you get that fucking black off the wheels.I did the same thing.Dipped in acid............

Aircraft paint remover. The kind you brush on . The spray on didn't work . Taped the wheels with painters tape and brushed the remover on. Wait a few minutes till paint blistered and removed the paint. The hard part is being real precise with the taping.

Then for 2013 they changed the coating.You have paint.The 2012 zx14r had a polymer coating as told to me by a powder coating expert. He had to dip them in acid for 20 min.It was a fucking mess.Aircraft stripper would not even phase it.A torch for 1 min. on the same spot would not even phase it.All my other bikes were a piece of cake.

The black is powder coat with clear powder coat over entire wheel.

Yep i used the 06 muzzy pipe, but i will be ordering a brocks pipe soon. The only reason i had the muzzy is because i bought a Brocks Gen 3 for the 06 after not being impressed by the Muzzy. The Muzzy was in tha atttic and will be again as soon as i decide which Brocks pipe i want.

It took a while to find a stripper that worked on the 2013. All the stuff i used on my ZX-12 and 06 14 didn't even knock the shine off the 2013 wheels. Your wheels look awsome Warbird. I'll probably clearcoat mine too. Beats all that polishing maintenance.

Didn`t believe it, was just out in the garage rubbing aircraft stripper on them for half an hour. Nothing , not even a bubble, ya gotta be frikken kidding.

Eastwoods has what they call a powder coat stripper, going to try some of that to see if it lifts the factory paint.

Hey Phil.I ordered in eastwoods also and it did`nt do a fucking thing.I was so pissed off with all my effort i wanted to drink that shit and move along..........I spent 20 hours on those fuckers....find some se wheels and be done with it........It`s too much work

Again 2012 zx14r wheels are polymer coated.Stripper is like water to that coating.A torch won`t even melt it.
