2013 Zx14R Traction control #1
Hi guys, I hope you're well.......Quick question - what does TC #1 do for you drag racers. I know #2 noticeably kills wheelies, but what about #1? Thanks.

Thanks Lou, but that was on #2, I just watched it - killed his pass. What does #1 do?

Traction control # 1 does intervene. Even if you turn t c off the safety mode on 1,2,3 gears can cut your power.Send your ecu to brocks and have all the restrictions removed and other goodies added.. Well worth the 400 bucks said and done.If you have his pipe and pc5 you better have some BIG BALLS at w o t on this monster.I was power wheeling all thru 1st and 2nd gear at gateway last night. Front tire coming back down around 120 to 130 mph. This is with a 40 toofer on the back....YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED ,,,,,,,,,,,,WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I only turn it on if the street would get wet when out riding. It is of no use at the drag strip unless your bracket racing.

I can tell you 1 thing, TC1 doesn't have wheelie control like TC2 - or if it does, it kicks in right before looping.
I whacked the throttle playing with TC settings and while TC2 was pretty cool and took off while floating the front tire, on TC1 same speed and RPM it violently yanked the front and I let off before it kicked in because it was coming up way too fast. Don't quite have the balls to find out when, if ever, any anti-wheelie will kick in on TC1.
Such a fun bike

Don't you just love these new 14's.........I was talking to Don Guhl today about his fabulous ECU work. I told him it's so friggin seamlessly and smooth that I hadn't really even thought about it.........My PC5 is currently building a street 'overlay map' (while I ride around) with the Autotune feature based on my A/F inputs of 12.8 to 1 from 1000rpm to 3500rpm then 13.1 to 1 from 3500 to 8000 and finally 13.2 from 8000-11000rpm. The PC5 'trim numbers' (these are the + or- numbers the Power Commander adds or subtracts to meet the A/F input) are IMO minimal, when compared to my 0 overlay map (Don's set-up) which I started with. Pretty cool watching the PC5 Wideband Screen do it's thing while I'm riding around. Frankly I'm not sure you can tell the A/F difference on the street, the bike is just too powerful and the roads too well patrolled!! Except for your gas mileage, big difference on my bike between 12.8 to 1 and 13.1 on the highway.......Remember now the PC5 is just an 'add on' overlay mapping device, complimenting the factory map. Even a zero'd out PC5 map input is really not 0's to the motor, the factory map is still there and continues to be the primary foundation map......Can't wait to hit the juice!!

You'd better be wide awake when you do Cliff. I thought my 2012 bike was pretty quick on the few rides we had on the local roads - then I took it to a top speed meeting for standing start miles. It's in a different dimension entirely when you can use the extended red-line (of the reflashed ECU) in every gear. 2nd to 3rd I just had a quick glance and saw 100mph and that was in under 5 seconds. 3rd to 4th a few seconds later and it was above 140. After that I was too busy to look but the speed trap at the mile gave me 203.
That was without juice !!!!!
Please keep us posted.
