New zx14 owner
Hey guys. Bought me a 2006 zx14 a few weeks ago with 13k miles. The bike was completely stock when i got it. I have since done the mods in my sig and the bike sounds and runs great. I did have some issues getting the flies out. I had to drill out one of the screws as it would not come out. I think my next mod will be extending the swingarm around 4in. ill try to post up pics later.

The ECU is in the mail on the way to Brocks as we speak. They remove the speed limiter, raise the rev limiter 400rpm, and play with the timing tables some.

When they remove the speed limiter Imassuming its the 186, does the gear selector on the dash still work??

Yes it does. I had my ecu flashed by Don 2 weeks ago. everything works and you can also make changes to traction and power while riding. no more remembering to set it before the ride.

To tell you the truth, the only time the bike gets changed from full power and traction off is when someone else takes it for a spin. Its my safety net when my ass isn't on it. As for justifying, i keep my bikes forever so it costs peanuts per year. I still have my zx12r 2000 i bought new. I paid 10,000/13yrs, that's less than $1000 per year even if you added the cost of the mods.
