zx10 rear brake bracket on a 14?

im planning on using my swingarm extensions and rear wheel off my 04 zx10 on my zx14 and im curious in the zx14 caliper will bolt onto the zx10 caliper mount just so i can avoid the slop in the zx14 brake mount with the zx10 axle. or should i just use the whole rear brake set up off my zx10? does it matter??

This is what I did. I used the wheel bearings from a ZX 4 front wheel. They fit the rear 04-05 zx10 rear. I bored the hole on the zx10 caliper bracket to fit zx14 axle. The zx10 Cush drive will also need to be machined to accept the outer zx14 bearing. Don't forget the zx14 aluminum tube inside the wheel needs to be shortened the same length as the zx10 tube. You will need to make 1 spacer that fits between the brake bracket and wheel bearing. Use the zx14 spacers on the outer sides as normal.

Dude that's so much unnecessary work. I used 10 links and my10 axle and 10 wheel. I just asking if i can use the 10 caliper bracket with the 14 caliper. If not i guess ill just use my 10 caliper also.c

Oh damn dude I have to apologize. I didnt see the part where you mentioned the zx10 extensions. You should be ok with the caliper bracket from the 10r. But you still might need to make a spacer because the width on the inside of the 14 swingarm is wider than the 10 R

You'll need to use the caliper and bracket off the 10 and also if you use the 14 chain you'll need to get a zx12 rear sprocket.

Alright. I got it all together now. Last night i just thought about the bracket being sized fornthe 14 axle abd it being sloppy. Tomorrow ill swap them around and see what i can make work.
