Is the 14 for big dudes?
I weigh about 155 lbs. Just wondering if the 14 is intended for heavier dudes than me?

Not really but obviously the big dudes are more comfortable on zx14 because is bigger bike and more straight up position , not too cramp and still enjoying the sport bike performance ... Now the liter bikes and big dudes are different story..

I'm only 160lbs but 6' tall and my 14R is so comfortable sometimes I forget that its the nastiest factory bike around. It is smooth and easy to ride, and carries around its weight during handling way better then a ~580lb bike should.
My zx6r was cramped as hell, and new literbikes are just as bad or worse as 600s- the CBR1000 feels smaller and more cramped then the last gen 636 was.

I'm 6'-0" by the way.
Last bike was a '98 CBR900RR; been out of riding for over a decade ... was perfectly comfortable on that. Are you saying newer sport bikes have gotten smaller?
600's are of no interest to me. No intention in going backwards from a 900.

I'm 5'8 and I don't have to tipy toe but I don't stand flat footed either lol. But the bike is very easy to handle weight that is. .. power on the other hand is simmering else. I've only had mine two months and only been on it about five times so far. My last bike was a very crazy zx10 the acceleration on it about 9 grand would keep up and even lead at times up to about 140. The thrust feels about the same to me but the easy that it happens on the 14 is much greater. My ten was violently fast this 14 on the dyno with the same basic mods as the ten except different exhuast was up 21hp almost 15 in torque. The power curve is very smooth on this bike for a little guy like me it is extra roomy and ten times better when you do have to give the ball and chain a dam ride 1000cc and passanger sucks donky balls!

I am 5'11", 220. My previous bike was a '99 CBR900rr, so, the same as you have. I was comfortable on my 900, and a little more comfortable on my 2010 ZX14. There is a world of difference in power, of course. The CBR would corner wonderfully while the ZX takes more effort, but is still quite manageable.
From what I have heard, the 14R is a whole higher class in both respects than my 14. I would go for that unless the price i simply prohibitive.
