spark plug time...
well this year I have to bite the bullet and put plugs in my 14. So to avoid a trip to the stealership im gonna try the plugs myself. So are there any tips or tricks that i might need to know?

Inspect the rubber boot inside of the spark plug tool, make sure its true and straight. I and another have had them go sideways and drop a plastic clip down and wedge beside the spark plug. Major pain to remove.
You can get the oem plugs from napa, advanced and? For about 9 bucks or so each.
Not as hard of a job as you might think.
If you need to adjust the gap on your new plugs, use a gap tool, dont pry between the ground strap and electrode (may snap off).. I think the gap is .080 - .090mm

Defiantly use the spark plug tool In your trunk once u get everything out of your way it's Pritty simple, but you will definetly ask yourself why Kaw had to invent this stupid frame that goes over the Engine & will probly cuss a couple times but you'll get it. While your in there take that stupid rubber cover of the engine..

Ya with that tool and a magnet to get plugs out if they stick in there , I put tool in ad used a rachet wrench on the top and on the left hand side of bike take out the one plug and take rest off on the right side .

depends on weather you have large hands, on my 07 it was pretty easy(i wear a medium in gloves). I just used a 3/8 ratchet with a 3" extension spark plug socket and magnet. i would attach the socket to the extension and drop in and made sure it went onto the plug then attached the ratchet. once it was loosened all the way i would dismantle in reverse and use the magnet to fish out the plugs. The NGK plugs are already pre-gapped so no need to set the gap on em.
Also i dont know if this effects anything but once you have the coil sticks removed look closely on top of the cylinder head cover and youll see a line, the manual states that when you install the sticks that the connector should be lined up with that line.
