Check Engine light on after mods

Pulled the fairings, undid the two hoses that run along side the right ram air tube into the little box inside the right fairing. Installed, exhaust, kickstand, and Pulse 3 battery. When I cranked it back up the check engine light was on. I thought maybe it was the two small hoses I disconnected so I unplugged the battery for 15 minutes put fairing back on the right side reinstalled the two hoses and installed the power commander and the check engine light is still on. I can't think of anything we did that could have caused except maybe the battery. Any ideas?

PS the bike seems to run fine

On my bike it was removing the lambda sensor that did it. Went off again when I reinstalled sensor and O2 eliminator on the Brock CT system. However, mine's a UK bike. Don't think yours is quite the same?

It's a 2012. Do you guys think it could be something with the battery? I am 90% sure I reconnected everything

Has to do with the DFI page 3-29 in manual. it's remembering the code from the idle vacuum hose being on hooked and the key turned on.

Not tried it, but I believe removing power to the ECU clears stored codes.
Take out the ECU fuse (in the tail under the seat) and leave it out for around 15 minutes.
Replace the fuse before turning the ignition back on.
Hope this helps.

I would think disconnecting the battery would reset it.

I installed my new Brocks Alien Head 2 exhaust on my 2012 ZX14. I followed all instructions and made sure that everything is back where it needs to be. I have double checked all screws and fairings. After the second time I started the bike my engine light came on. Can anyone help me? I have tried to hold the select button, but the only thing it does is takes me to English or French language select option. I know that it is something simple, so any help would be much appreciated. Oh yeah, by the way I did put the red cap and connect the hose to it as instructed by Brocks Performance.

Do you have the little tank in the right mid fairing? And did you reconnect those two hoses to it if so?

I am not sure what tank are you talking about, but the only hose I have touched was the one connected to the air box. I had to plug that hole and the attach it to the red cup provided.
