I did plate and relief valve for a nice size shot of gas. I haven't had a problem in over a year of weekly racing. hope that helps.

I shimmed the relief and added the Muzzy plate with the Robinson gear. Will get to try it at the track tomorrow.

Im thinking the high volume pump snd hp releif will be overkill.
Chris jones mention this to me a while back. He saw oil filters swell
Personally the pump plate and hv pump is my preferance and yes definately .040 oil restrictor to the turbo

kawpower, I have the mod that you have mentioned, also shim the relief valve, I don't remember how much, but I think it was in the .40 or .50, range. I run a mechanical oil pressure gauge on all my bikes. here's what happened, and I know it depends on what weight of oil you run will determine where your oil pressure lands, by the way Joe Gibbs racing oil site has a excellent write up about what type weight oil you should run. I think I had 10 W 40, idling cold it had about 60 pounds and at 9000 about 110 pounds, way too much! not only is it hard on parts but it is a horsepower killer also. I removed the shim, now my pressure reads like this cold idle 40 pounds, hot idle 20 pounds, 9000 rpm cold about 90 pounds, 9000 hot, about 80 pounds. My bike is a nitrous Street bike, and while I won't say you how much horsepower it makes, I will say that I haven't found any other street bike in Texas that will run with it weight for weight. I'm not bragging about that, just trying to give you some kind of deal where the power is at. we used to have Rod bearing problems, but when I figured out where to put the timing, air fuel, and what type of fuel, I've had no more rod bearing problems in the last three years, and we run stock rods. Hope this helps.

thanx for the info ken, Chris recommends a motocycle aproved 20-50w its fine in the summer time but as soon as it cooles off either late fall or early spring when the season opens here in n.j .i have to heat up the motor with a heat gun or the starter drive wont catch just keeps spinning and when it starts the pressure is way to high, its way to high, but thats only when its cold. im going to go with 15-40 this season and see.at idle when hot its at 10 psi ,and at bunout its at 70psi with the mods i have now.
