Need Help! How do you set timing on ZX14?
Hey guys, I'm in full desperation mode. I'm gonna put my zx14 motor back together and need to find out how to set the initial timing of the cams? Before putting the head back on I know the #01 cylinder on the left needs to be top dead center.
Are there any markings on the cams to where they need to be set at? Like pointing directly down or at each other or directly up???
I'm in a time crunch here, Please help with any info, THANKS.
Also the head bolt torque specs are first 28lbs then to 59lbs right??
I think I have the bolt torque sequence as well.
I have the zx14 owners manuel and micro fiche on my hard drive downloaded to.

LOL Owners manual isn't going to do you any good. LOL Get a shop manual before you destroy the motor!!

Take your time and follow the instructions. Once you think you have it right, double check everything.
