When people talk about "bars" they are talking about if you add fuel without a computer or lap top.
You can add/take away fuel on the of without hooking up a computer. I've never done it but maybe someone can speak up and explain.
If you have your computer hooked up you can add or take away as much fuel as you want just by changing the 100% throttle column.

In the PCV software each whole number represents 1%. So to add 12%.. or richen 12% to any particular cell, you simply add 12 to number that is already there. Conversely, subtracting leans that cell. If there is a -3 then 12% richer would be 9. 12% leaner will be -15. You can add or subtract multiple cells at the same time by dragging your mouse over multiple cells while holding down the left click, then using the page up and page down buttons to add or subtract 1% per push, respectively. Note, the cells must be adjacent to select them together. You can also type a specific number in the cell but if you have multiple cells selected this will change the value in all of those cells, to whatever you type. So if you have selected 4 cells.. -3, -5, -7, -9 and you type 15, they will all now read 15. So watch out for that.
Hope this helps.
