engine build help

Hi guys, found this great forum while looking for info.UK based so bike is zzr1400.
The basics are I am trying to build a 2009 motor guts into 2007 engine cases.I have come across the problem that the centre main bearing carrier in case is machined a different thickness so the thrusts are too far away from crank. Is there a trick to set them right or is it as easy as buying early thrusts are they thicker.Sorry first post is so heavy, thank you for any help.
