High mile sport touring tires CONTINENTAL?
Thinking of buying these for high mileage heard these can get 8k for sport touring.

Keeping out of the throttle will help any tire on the 14. But if you ride easy, you'll have no problem getting 5k out of the rear...front a bit more. But as with any tire...just comes down to the way you ride and your right hand.

Cant beat that price and Im sure they are fine but you can easily get over 5k out of a set of Pirelli Angels or Michelin Pilot Road 2's. Both awesome tires IMO

Personnally I wouldn't put any Continental on anything. Twice on bikes I;ve bought that came with conti's on them I slid out in corners due to their total lack of grip, Both times at low speed and not pushing at all. Not impressed, so much I feel compelled to bad mouth them wnenever someone mentions them, Total shit tires in my opinion. Hope your experience is much better than mine.

I've limited experience of them on bikes, I think a BMW demonstrator I tried had them but Continental make a good car tyre. I use "N" rated Conti's on my Porsche and they're good.
The Bridgestone S20's on my 14 seem to be wearing well. As already stated it's how you ride that dictates choice of rubber and the mileage you get from it. There will always be a trade-off between outright grip and mileage though.

Michelin Pilot Road 3 ... 4000 miles on 'em and still plenty left... OEM S20s dead by 1500, and they grip too, and warm up instantly.... I would recommend them to anybody!

I've run several sets of Conti's on my ZRX with no issues with traction at all. Main complaint is that after about 1500-2000 miles the profile goes off and handling becomes crap. Other than that, no problems.
I've never had any luck with Dunlops, but I know a lot of folks like them. I just don't care for the feel of them. You just have find a tire you like the feel of.them.
No major manufacturor makes "shit" tires. Too much liability not too.

I'd go (or in fact I'm using) Michelin Pilot Road 2:s and they're wearing quite well too. And the best thing on Michelins Pilot Road 1/2/3 is that they're much better in wet than other tires. And when travelling long distances (at least in Europe) that is very significant.

Go with the Road Attack 2, much better tire, Motions are cheap replacement tire, still good, but not high mileage.

This is the factory tire on the 14R and for an all around street tire, it is excellent. As it happens, I ordered a new one today.

I liked the conti motion a lot for the price lasted 3,000 miles with trips down the strip and power wheelies down the back roads . Have brand new power pure for this year
