So if this tail light isn't "broken", but has a chip on it, what's going to happen when you ride in the rain? Wash the bike off? Water is going to get in the tail light. Then IF it still works its going to be all fogged up.

Your such a great salesman you need to buy a truckload of tail lights off eBay for $35 and sell them for $100.
You would be a millionaire in a matter of weeks.

Neither did I! See how stupid you are every time you open your mouth here....

I just asked which of the two companies did the best flashing...NOT their business address for shipping....

Oh, I remember now, you just can't read.......the small penis mentality is alive and well in you.

Wrong again, Ivan has a different fuel table and timing table then other flashes. So when you actually know what you're talking aboutmaybe everyone would stop giving you so much crap.you just made you're self look like a complete idiot. maybe you should make phone calls before you post. Oh and let's not forget brocks flash is different as well. Even though guhl flashes his to.

His mom didn't take his phone. He doesn't have a cell phone.
His mom said she had to get on the Internet so he had to get off the house phone!

Funny. I just use the stock fuel map and ECU programming. Works fine for me. I like the bike well mannered below 7K and then get the rush above 7K. Fun stuff.

One word of advice Gold when you ask a question like this... what do you mean by best? best for what? gas mileage? low emissions?

you forget on a14r with the flash the rush starts are 3500 and continues until redline.but if rode normal is mild mannered.

Best is all encompassing...best power, torque, easy starting, fuel efficiency, reliability, no backfiring.

When you pay your money to experts that have the equipment and knowledge to improve an already adequate product....everyone wants to know which tuner can do the best job for money spent. So......my posting was to solicit comments good or bad from those who have had Guhl or Ivan do a re-flash on their bikes.

Some do better work than others, some stand behind their work, others make excuses, some offer graphs of before and after, some don't.....so the posting here was to determine if members who had these two tuners upgrade their ECU's if they could see and feel the difference after spending their monies.

Since both tuners have a following.......and only these two guys seem to be doing any 14r tuning of ECU's, they have the corner on the market. Since this is a relatively new bike, everyone is trying to get the best bang for their buck, and rightly so.

So.....bottom line here want to get the members to have interaction on the results of their Re-flashed ECU's by these two guys, to see which one they think is the very best upgrade for their bikes.

The idiots here can't see the reasoning on determining what is best...so they want to play silly word games...they have nothing else to do, and don't contribute anything worthwhile to the forum......just run their mouths....can't keep to the subject on the forum...cause they don't have the brains and personality to do so.....

Thank you for your comment..other than Smokin..it is the only one worthwhile so far....

Don't care what Guhl has.......not interested at all....

What I am interested in...go back to my initial posting...is which tuner produces the very best re-flashing for your money...simple to the point question.....and why?

Flashes ARE all basically the same........if they weren't one would produce MUCH greater HP than the other...so there is not 10 cents worth of difference between these two tuners....

Who here can prove me wrong??

Here is a question... if I got my ECU reflashed for my 2006 ZX-14 (yes that is it in my avatar), could I tell them where I want the flies to start opening at? For example, could I tell them drop it from 7K (currently) to 5K (that way I don't get the rush of power shortshifting around town when I don't need it)? What other customized flashing can they do? I don't think I want to raise my redline. What else do they offer in the reflash that can benefit a street rider? I am using a simple slip on exhaust system so I am not sure a reflash would even benefit me (much). I am happy the way the bike is (it is plenty fast). I am spending money on making it lighter and I lost over 20 pounds myself (I weigh 170 suited up).

I wouldn't say ECU flashes are all basically the same either. Someone could get a performance flash done to a "stock" ECU and someone else could buy a bike with that already done, not like it, and pay to have it flashed back to "stock". Those would not be the same.

The ECU flashing only produces an average upgrade of 1-2 HP per bike/flashing....the flashing is not really designed to increase power, but to smoothly make the engine function more efficiently at all rpm ranges. Altering the computer management allows independent changes from factory settings with stock heavy pipes to allow the engine to be smoother, more efficient, smoother torque, a little bit better fuel economy, reduce some backfiring, and alter independent changes to the engine management without having to come to a complete stop, shift into neutral and then make your economy changes, or power changes....sort of a shift on the fly ability.....

Sometimes you can feel the improvement after remapping...if it already runs great, then you may not actually feel any improvement....it is very subjective bike to bike.....

Well I am happy with my setup which was very cost effective too. I really like how the bike is "tame" down low and then turns into a "beast" above 7K RPMs. A slight tweak would be to lower that to 6K so someone would have 5K of tame (1K to 6K) and 5K of beast (6K to 11K). That would be splitting it right down the middle.

Again your wording is not good. ECU reflashing DOES allow more HP at certain RPMs, especially if it allows the flies to open much sooner. I think you meant peak HP but didn't say that in your previous post here.

There is a lot of debate about flies in vs. flies out vs. reflash to open them sooner. I really can't find much fault with the factory setup for what I normally do (99.99% street riding) so why "fix" it if it aint "broke"? I'd rather spend the $300 on cool carbon fiber parts and some lighter tires. Drag racers are a different "breed" so I understand their need to squeeze every last drop of HP within their budget. That is fine but is not applicable to me.

Because I am curious what a reflash has to offer a street rider like me.

hey btw, some people in this forum thought you and I were the same person. Some people here didn't even think I owned a ZX-14. I noticed since updating my avatar they have quieted down quite a bit (probably embarrassed they were wrong).

I should run my almost stock bike down the dragstrip (where I haven't been in 20 years) and try to run sub 10 seconds to rub it in their faces. They probably have stretched bikes with expensive HP engine mods and for what? to run 1 second better time? I'll wait the 1 extra second and pocket the thousands of dollars. If I was drag racing a low 9 second bike, I would cheat and leave at the first yellow so I could cross the finish line around the same time just for a joke. Ha ha.

So what where you dyno numbers before you ecu flash vs after the flash?

216.1 after flash 217.3 didn't get much power already had a good Brock map installed and CT pipes so was pretty well maxed out on HP prior to flashing......1.2 HP was not much of a performance increase, however the more efficient running of the engine and fuel injection was the main reason it was considered the last horizon on making power. This was with Shell 89 octane........have access to 110 octane race fuel but did not use it for testing as it would have not been a fair testing of true normal street performance.
