008 Shinko After 1 Year
Finally installed a new 008 slick, Dec. 2012 to Dec. 2013, 100's of burnouts and passes at the drag strip, my scales may not be precise, new 008 13.5 lbs, worn 008 12.1 lbs, about 1/2 of diameter gone compared to the new tire. Weighed a new hook-up I have 12.2 lbs, if these numbers are off, they are all off on the same scale at the same time,

A year, thats great. I wonder if they ever get to the point they dont hook? I changed mine out way to soon.

Still hooked fine, I just wanted to go back to the 51 tooth rear sprocket and the wheel is a bugger to get off the Mcintosh swingarm,

We're going to keep using the 008 from last year on the Busa until it decides not to hook anymore. Good to know that it's getting lighter (faster) and lighter (faster). I'm actually surprised that the difference is as much as it is. Thanks for the info.

Iv used the 003 didn't like it then hook up liked it till it got worn and have a brand new 008 as of yesterday but won't find out till spring how it is .

Wondering why some dumb ass biker wants to tell everyone how stupid he is in tearing up his tires......only an idiot does that now he wants everyone to know how stupid he is...everyone already knew it without him posting all these unnecessary details....

Very cool.......sounds about right....tearing up your equipment is very cool.....guess you guys sleep together too.....very cool.....keep being cool......sounds pretty stupid to me...going 200 mph at the drags may be cool.......but no rubber on your tires is definitely not cool.......but if the shoe fits then wear it with him too.......

Hey goldwing kiss my ass u looser , u have no life no idea what it's like to really race . Drag racing eats up tires but were talking about tires that last a year or so , most tires on the street last a year . I was saying what I thought of the tires Iv tried and can't wait to try this tire .

Just to give your ignorant ass a clue as to what the majority of members on this site do....
At LEAST 80% of us are drag racers. This is why we are here.
There are a few guys that do just ride in the street and a few that do long rides.
So are you trying to saying all of us are dumb ass bikers?

fify Bently, I guess I could have posted "why" if ya'll remember when I went to the 1/4 mile I ran out of gear with the older 008, Lucky was saying a new tire should get me through the traps before the bike trys to shift to 7th, 17-51 is the gearing I want to stay with, I'll try and get some 1/4 mile runs with the new slightly taller tire to get the 8.60+ with the gearing I like..
